For me it’s the clearest sign yet that our next manager needs to have an attacking mentality.
We had Gio and now we’ve got Beale, both of whom play football which is an assault on the eyes. The support simply won’t tolerate another manager who plays the kind of sluggish, uncreative, boring style of football we’ve had to endure over the last couple of years. Attendances are already dropping, and will continue to do so the longer we have to watch this pish.
Fuck me, Gerrard wasn’t the most attacking manager, but we currently make him look like Postecoglou on crack by comparison.
I really do hope the rumour about us sounding out Muscat is true, as at least it means we’re looking at guys who actually play attacking football, rather than pragmatic “thinkers” who appear to believe we play Barcelona and Bayern every week.
You don’t need to fucking think in this league, you just need to fucking do it.

Completely out of their depth and they keep finding new ways to show it.
Everyone can see it and nobody will fear us because of it.

The guys had a nightmare today and it just seems to be another symptom of where we are; no one seems to be on the details. No wonder we look like a mess tactically on the park.

Not only did we not beat PSV in the home leg we got absolutely scudded and embarrassed in the away leg. These guys must think they are working for Burnley or something, we have traditions and standards but these guys are working as hard as they can to erode that.

Watching the press conference just now. I’ve genuinely never heard of any other club in world football that has “had tough discussions with the group” as much as us. They must be sick of the sound of their own voices with all these fucking harsh and honest discussions. 😂

Posted in the Beale thread but the fact his assistant is saying we ‘beat PSV’ is utterly embarrassing.

We could have gone out to interview and got the best applicant in place as CEO, but we didn't and I had qualms with that at the time - in saying that Bisgrove seems to have done a fairly ok job since coming in (the opinion of most on here only a few weeks ago). Obviously the Jury is still out, especially with his history of fuck ups.
I don't think I can really take to Bennett at all if I'm honest, that interview he did last year was a shambles. I don't think I'll forget some of the arrogant tripe he came out with.
Now their main problem is the fanbase have completely turned on Beale and they're acting very similarly to the previous inept Board. If they continue to do that they'll just be tarred with the same brush.

They have failed us by appointing Beale and allowing him to sign a load of fuckin duds. They of course can rectify this by appointing a good manager

What does Lammers actually offer us as a player?
He isn’t going to be a first choice centre forward because he isn’t clinical enough and he doesn’t score enough goals.
He can’t be a target man like focal point who comes on and gets in about it because although he’s tall, he’s not physical enough.
He isn’t quick enough and doesn’t have the turn of pace needed to play out wide.
He can’t be an outright number ten who everything goes through because he doesn’t seem to fancy the battling side of Scottish football and he’s too flakey to be given that responsibility.
I mean he would probably be good on Skills School on Soccer AM, but that’s not going to win you real games of football.
A non scoring utility forward who’s done nothing but bounce around, playing for five clubs in three years is the sort of profile of player you would expect a club like Livingston or St Johnstone to sign on a free transfer, instead we’ve gone out and spent 3.5 million on him in the hope we can get a tune out of him.
A truly awful signing and a stick on to be a player who doesn’t play for us for any more than one season.

100% mate. I’ve genuinely seen nothing in the two of them to suggest they’ll add anything to the team. I’m adding Sima to that as well. Him trying to trap the ball on Sunday and it running 10 yards out the park sums him up.

Beale spunked the majority of his budget on 2 attacking players who have scored about 10 goals between them. If it weren’t for injuries these 2 marquee signings wouldn’t even be starting. His signings look like an absolute car crash and we haven’t improved on what we had last season. There’s only one way this is heading and the only thing that’s saving him just now is the incompetence of the people running the club.

We can talk about injuries but yesterday we had 7/8 million pounds worth of attacking talent available/starting, and between the two of them they showed nothing against Motherwell. Danilo is injured, but he was dropped for the two biggest games of the season, what exactly was Beales plan/strongest 11 in mind?
The rebuild has been an utter shambles. We have square pegs in round holes, we have overpiad for players who are showing to be as bad as their previous poor records suggested. Butland aside, and Danilo in flashes, it seems like better players have left the building than have been brought in, which is a shocking reflection on our recruitment. We talked about improving in both boxes and now we are relying on Roofe and Ben Davies to improve us in those areas. And Matondo to create, all players that were already here.
Theres always a risk with transfers, but its astonishing how much of an arse of the rebuild he appears to have made.

Beale needs to go the sooner the better as we have to be proactive rather than reactive as we will end up with nothing to play for.

Our recruitment has been fucking rubbish since we won 55. Infact the entire club, Seville run aside, has been a shambles since then. A “job done” and “let’s get the band back together” culture has swept through the club and it’s rotted it to the core.
