  1. He said, after leaving, that many of the players were undermining him and also the club doctor for some strange reason. There will be PLG's story, the players story and the truth somewhere in between I think.
  2. He stripped Barry Ferguson of the captaincy and said he wouldnt play for Rangers again under him. The fall out with players certainly had a part. Ive no idea if he was right in what he was doing. For a number of reasons it's a shame it didn't work out but , having said that, the 2007-08 season in Europe was the best season as a Rangers supporter for me.
  3. Not an official one but amongst the media and fans there were names being thrown about. There was only one choice.
  4. I got the feeling it was a case of too much too quickly with Le Guen. That and the fall out with the players and constant praise of the team after poor defeats. However, he seemed to be trying to change the things that in other European countries they'd changed long ago like nutrition, diet and fitness. We performed admirably in Europe that season which was a contrast to the league.
  5. I think relief pretty much sums it up as the shortlist wasn't looking too great. I just wish we'd have held out with PLG a bit longer and we may still have been seeing some rewards of that but it wasn't to be.
  6. Is this all based on someone presuming the land would be worth a lot of money should there ever be houses built upon it?
  7. Maxwell pelting him with whatever the horrible bastard dropped out of his pocket is brilliant. It's at 9.40 on the video but it's worth watching the 3 goals before it. This is one of the earliest moments when I realised how much winning against Celtic meant to Rangers fans as a 7 year old. My uncle and Dad absolutely delirious in the living room.
  8. That the Easdale's are laundering money through Rangers and that Graham Wallace is leaving from what I'd seen.
  9. I saw the comments last night, various people, including Sandy Chugg, were insinuating the latest bombshell to come out of Ibrox was that the Easdale's have been laundering money through Rangers. Absolutely ridiculous thing to say. Some were going as far as stating it as fact. The Easdale's have every right to pursue this.
  10. Stephane Guivarch should never be discounted.
  11. Faure at centre half and Foster right back surely. Just say no to Cribari.
  12. Because Dunfermline are wearing black socks.
  13. A few Morton supporting mates said he's not near the player he once was and is rumoured to have took the huff when he didn't get any game time at the weekend. He was starting to lose his pace and touch in his last couple of seasons with us aswell. We shouldn't be considering him.
  14. Needing a taxi for 5 people from Port Glasgow to Ibrox for 12ish on boxing day. A long shot I know but struggling to find someone.
  15. My point wasn't that Sionko was good, more that I'd made a judgement on Whittaker from a particularly bad game.
  16. 9th December 2006. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/6218820.stm
  17. If Edu and Broadfoot could stay then so could the rest. I'd be interested to find out the time frame between Green's purchase and the traitors departures.
  18. I remember that happening on a couple of occasions at least. I also remember Liber Sionko running Whittaker ragged at Ibrox and at that time Whittaker was being touted for a big move and I'd said I hoped he didn't end up at us. He proved me wrong somewhat right enough.
  19. If there was an offer of £700k for Templeton? Take it. He'll spend half his time injured and at least half of the playing time being ineffective.
  20. They certainly are ruthless. My uncle worked for them for a number of years and they didn't waste a thing.
  21. It wasn't all plain sailing to begin with. It took a few years to sort that deal out. Aye exact same. Assumed there was a link between the two shops. We ain't the only ones either.
  22. People with agendas said the brothers weren't Rangers men. They very much are. I also posted in another thread about them buying Blairs International and Victory House in Greenock for £1.25m this year.
