There are lots of players like Diallo out there that have very little game time. You ideally want someone who has been signed for 7-15 M who has featured for a year or two in another league before getting signed for an EPL as a backup/prospect.

There is literally a thread entitled where is Aribo on here, Kent has something like 4 assists all season with Kamara playing like he is a 50k player some weeks and sometimes 100 times that but no more. We won the league last year and SG admitted there had been no bids for any of our players. Leaving Kamara out of it the now the other 2 will have 12 months left on their contract so unless we are prepared to let them go for a reasonable amount we are not getting circa 15m for each of them. We should have been at the stage where we are selling a player or 2 for 5-15 m a season with significant funds available to refresh the squad each year. Dembele went for close to 20 with his last season only 9 goals in the SPL. Edouard went for 13-14 m with 18 goals Both where for European goals and their pedigree more than goals I actually think Morelos is a better player now than when he was scoring 30 goals as it is his all round play which has dramatically improved. The OPs post reads like it could have been written in anyone of the previous 3 seasons before last with simply the names changed except Tavs. We have spent 10’s millions on players but the board are rubbish at selling players….at the end of the day the responsibility lies with them. So we are now left with an ageing squad with our most sellable assets about to enter the last 12 months of their contracts. We are good in Europe so we could well get through qualifying still. We probably will not sell anyone come the summer although a few will leave as their contracts are up. These will probably be replaced by some free agents and the odd random player that hasn’t quite made it in the EPL.

Strange as it sounds going to the likes of tynecastle and easter road this point is easier maybe than at home or away to some team fighting for relegation. Hearts have nearly cemented third place so depending on when we play them they could already be in holiday mode whilst hibs have been pretty pish of late them playing at home carries its own pressure with the crowd easily getting restless with the opposition having about 10 bodies defending.
