  1. I never thought we'd beat them before kick off Never felt so deflated before a game in along time. I'm trying hard to keep my feet on the ground now. See when you don't think we'll get anything out of a game, then win it convincingly 3-0, there's not a better feeling than that. Life's been shit for me just now, and that win certainly brightened it up a good deal. ???
  2. I think the exact same about Tavernier. Both look good going forward, neither looks very comfortable defending. If we played with a back 3, and had DJ,& Tav as wingbacks, in a 5man midfield, it might suit them both. However it may upset the rest of the team.? I'd play Pena up front, as part of a two man front two. I would like to see us playing a 3-5-2 formation, as I believe we have the players to ideally suit it.
  3. It was a grand night all round. The fans fed off the players, who started full of life. Pena had a decent game, took his goal well, and played a sublime, defence splitting, pass to Tav, putting him one on one with the keeper. He never had any glaring errors, but was running out of steam when he was subbed. Even Windass had a decent game tonight. Was always full of running, and closing down their defenders, giving them little time on the ball. Holt, and Jack, were tremendous in midfield, McCrorrie looked a natural at DM, and Wilson always seems to play better alongside Bruno. It was a really good all round display from our boys, we need this type of performance every week. WATP!??
  4. That was more like the Rangers we all know and love. The same level of performance needed every game though. ??
  5. If you take Rangers out of the equation, celtic's annual salary is about the same as ALL the other clubs put together. We need to get a few players out of the club, to lessen our annual salary, or better still, to bring in players who are worth the money they get paid.
  6. Yeah I remember some of them. I only got hit once, on the shoulder, by a beer can half full of piss.?
  7. I remember my mum was trying to stop me going to the games, in the 60's,& early 70's, because fans would show their displeasure by hurling bottles, cans, and other missiles from the terracing. They were not all the best throwers in the world, which meant that the kids, at the front of the terracing, used to get hit on the head with some of these objects. I used to sit on the wall at the front, and when a hail of objects started raining down,I'd jump onto the track to get away from it. Games would get held up for a few minutes until it all quietened down, and the kids could get back onto the terracing. I don't ever remember feeling scared, it was more an adventure, and part of the match day experience. Those were the days eh?? ??
  8. I was getting a slight scent of taig off him as well, but didn't want to say anything just in case I was wrong. I would hate to call out someone out, who isn't a taig.
  9. As soon as the transfer window shut, he started banging them in, not so much before that though.??
  10. This is the kind of game that sky/BT love to show, just in case a shock happens.
  11. I agree. Fan ownership sounds good, looks good on paper, may well work for some clubs, but would not be good for Rangers. We have too many groups pulling in different directions, each wanting their ideas, thoughts, put to the fore. We were supposed to all be coming together, as one, under the Club1872 banner, and all other fans groups were to be dissolved. That went well, nearly lasted a full week. The only fans groups abolished was the RST, in my mind. Rangers First lasted long enough to get King & co into the boardroom, was then bastardized to suit the board, not the fans. Our boardroom drama/trauma will continue until King, & Paul Murray, are gone. I don't know about the rest of them. Maybe without King being there, keeping a tight hold of everything, the other directors might have original ideas to transform our club. One must live in hope....??
  12. Didn't we have someone play for us, who had it stipulated in his contract, allegedly, that if he was fit, he was to play??
  13. I've been very disappointed with him, thought he'd give a lot more than he has.
  14. We've got the same board that don't know how to run the club without £millions to play with. We've had a chequebook manager, Dick Advocat, we've now got a chequebook board, without the chequebook. Their answer to every little problem, in the past, was to throw money at it, we don't have the money now, so they're clueless as what to do. PS I don't like criticising our board, but the buck must stop somewhere. Ffs we can't even scrape 3 wins in a row. ??
  15. I'm no fan of David Murray, but he was forced to sell the club to Whyte, by Lloyd's bank, who took over the BoS, to get their hands on the £millions before the tax man. I thank him for 9IAR, but can't forgive him for the mess he made afterwards. Maybe if the BoS didn't go under, we'd have been alright, they were a Rangers friendly bank, at the time. Maybe if Whyte had paid the PAYE, & NI contributions, for the year, the taxman might have done a deal regarding EBT's.
  16. Maybe he needs to go back training with the kids again???
  17. How many chances do they get to appoint a decent manager? Also when is the time?
  18. Come back Pedro! All is forgiven! (Nearly all)
  19. I like football! The more football on TV, the better for me. I wonder if they ' have to' share the games between different TV companies, as we'll be out of the EU by then? Will they just give each package to the highest bidder? Or will they continue to give BT/ESPN a package of games?
  20. Who's in charge of all this money? If it was me there'd probably be nothing left, but hopefully better people than me are running this. I remember putting £10 in, at first, then thinking that was quite mean of me, after all Rangers have given to me. Was pished one night, and put another £100 in. I remember waking up next day, not a care in the world, then recalling that I was going to empty my bank account into the fund. I was panicking like fuck, trying to check how much I'd put into the kitty. Was relieved that it was just the £100. I got divorced shortly after that, it might've been just the last straw that broke the camels back for us, but, at least I still had Rangers, and a very expensive holiday to Ibeza with my mate, which I'd also paid for that night. ???
  21. I don't recall that incident, but I am getting old, and do feel dementia getting closer each day.??
  22. Nah mate! I can't stand the guy. Was at a City v Utd game, when he played for them, and he was being a cunt. Watch him, he's usually one of the 1st in there, if there's any trouble, sneaky like. ??
  23. He should be sitting in a jail cell right now for this. If a fan had done that to a player there would, quite rightly, be outrage about it. He should be given a 2 year stadium ban, once his prison sentence is up.
  24. I really meant to click the like icon. I'm getting old. ??
