I hate old firm games at night. Probably the worst I've felt supporting Rangers was after Hesselink scored in the last minute to make it 2-1 in the Uefa Cup final season.

Timothy Derijck is renewed interest in Anderlecht. In Brussels, so they want to anticipate the possible departure of Ronald Juhasz to Glasgow Rangers. Meanwhile, the 24-year old Timothy Derijck few years ago found wanting for Anderlecht. Derijck therefore left to the Netherlands where he is impressed. Apparently, the Brussels club Derijck now recovering at the Astrid Park. ADO Den Haag does, however, committed to the Belgian longer at the club, albeit they apparently offered a "no refusal" to contract extension. ADO may still succumb to the millions of Anderlecht, which may Dmitry Bulykin in the transfer would involve. But there is another hijacker in the Derijck coast, the Dutch Vitesse Arnhem also shown current interest in the defender, who is also in midfield in the feet can.

It would get worse because we would probably lose the majority of our players, the standard of player we have now is significantly higher than the standard of player in League 2 or The Blue Square Premier League. Not much incentive to our players to stay with Rangers playing the likes of Fleetwood Town and Darlington. In Scotland we do play some shite teams but they are far better than what we'd be getting down in England. Our home support would greatly diminish and our stature in Europe would completely disappear. That's the immediate future. However, lets say everything goes well and we end up in the Championship fighting for promotion. To get to this stage would probably take 5-10 years. In the top half of the Championship we would be at the level we're at now - but with the potential to go higher. We would most likely get promoted eventually and make it to the Premier League. If we had a good season we'd finish about mid-table, and this is where we would probably hit our peak. Look at Wigan for example, they worked they're way up from division 3 to where they are now. In there first season in the Premier League they finished 10th, but for the last few seasons they've just stayed up by a few points. It's all ifs and buts however, no one really knows what would happen if we moved to England. The grass isn't always greener is the point I'm making.

If we were to join the lower English leagues things would get a lot worse before they got better.

Now that you mention it I think it got played when Davis put us 3-0 up against Motherwell last season. You do have a point though, eventually people will become tired of it and probably won't continue singing/clapping when it comes on.
