  1. No idea. Thing is it is still snowing, so even if the game goes ahead there is a strong chance it may be abandoned, plus then there is the danger for supporters travelling back home.
  2. There is no chance this game is going ahead ..... it has been snowing all night in Dundee, and for the last 3 hrs or so there have been thunderstorms with lightning tearing through If I was a travelling supporter .... I wouldn't bother honestly. At least half a foot, if not more snow on the ground.
  3. Results like this happen from time to time, I'm not happy with it but at least the Rhats lost so we haven't lost any ground. My main concern is that Papac & Edu haven't picked up serious long term injuries - we can ill afford first team players out for lengthy periods. Otherwise time to refocus, and get McGhee sacked on Saturday !
  4. Or how about action taken against Samaras for his knee into McGregor's head ?
  5. Aye, get well soon Jela. Hope it doesn't take anywhere near as long as 3 months to get back to fitness. Anyone feel like smacking that wee bastard Black ? I know I do .... hope he gets pelters the next time Hearts come to Ibrox.
  6. It should have been a straight red card : it was a cynical professional foul with no intent of playing the ball ( this is in itself a yellow card ), but what elevates it to a red card offense is the dangerous tackle from behind. That's the rules, and the Ref hasn't enforced them in this case. If I was part of the officialdom at RFC I'd be submitting a complaint to the powers that be in Scottish football that the tackle is looked at in retrospect using video footage. But, of course we all know that won't happen for a variety of reasons. I'm raging that Jelavic may be out for several games, and at an important time for the Club, all because of some wee ned hammer thrower who should have the book thrown at him.
  7. Just a mere flesh wound 4-0 down, no sweat, they'll come back from that
  8. He's just far too easily provoked, and unfortunately he's not showing any signs of maturing. Lafferty getting sent off, doesn't help either himself, or more importantly the team. I want him to be a success, I really do .... but I don't think he has the maturity or intelligence to play for a big club like Ranger's, and the pressure that is incumbent with that.
  9. Don't know if he was the best player on the park, but along with Miller, Weiss & Davis was a cut above the rest. He started off last season in a similar fashion, but then faded away badly. Lets hope he sustains his form over the course of the whole season this time. He's a more talented player than we've seen thus far in his Ranger's career ( bad injuries not helping ).
  10. Yup, with injuries & suspensions he will get games ...no doubt. Plus, I think he offers the forward line something different. He's a bit more physical, good in the air and can hold the ball up.
  11. Not really an over-reaction, Lafferty gets the red-mist far too easily ( similar to Ricksen ), and potentially puts the team into trouble far too often for my liking. I really wish we could sell him on. That said, I don't think his initial tackle merited a red card .... but it's the afters that earned him the card. Hope Walter gets stuck into the rest of team, the passing is terrible and some of the players look like they haven't kicked a ball in 2 years.
  12. I do sort of see why Redsox states we have barely spent any money yet - with Danny Wilson being sold for £2 million ( plus £3 million in add-ons )and Kevin Thomson for £2 million, that pretty much negates Jelavic's transfer fee. I've read in some sources that Beattie cost £750k, and then it's just a case of how much the loan fee was for Weiss. So, by my estimation we've spent maybe somewhere between £750k and £1.5 million net. I think there is more money in the kitty than that , and I wouldn't be surprised if Benalouane & Barazite were added to the squad.
  13. Gotta laugh at the sopa dodgers, even their own ex-players ( Jim Craig ) are slagging them off. After Scot Brown "tackled" a Braga player he said something along the lines of " I'd prefer if the Celtic fans didn't clap for Scot Brown, all he did was kick a player. I'd rather he learned how to kick a football properly instead"
  14. What a wanker that Murphy is ... tries to score a goal when he should be giving the ball back as part of sporting play. He'll fit in well at the Piggery.
  15. This is exactly the point : football is both a sport and entertainment. There is no doubt that Spain are the best side in competitive football at this moment in time, but they are not entertaining - therefore in my opinion do not deserve to be classified as great. They play a short passing game designed for ball retention, but do not use that possession in a creative way. Instead it is designed to stifle the opposition. If they lose the first goal they are in trouble because they don't have a plan B. You saw that with the Switzerland game.
  16. Well said, this World Cup has been the biggest pile of piss ever. The quality of football was abysmal, and even Spain for all the talent they have seemed lacking in confidence.
  17. Have to admit though, it would be very funny watching Mourinho run onto the pitch at the Piggery, gritted teeth, index finger pointed forcefully into the air and aimed at the Septic fans to announce the mighty Rangers winning their 54th Scottish Championship
  18. Congrats, that's a nice little earner. Wish I had some dough down on Ross County .. always felt it was a possibility.
  19. LOLZ !!! Well done Agent Lennon, you've surpassed Agent Mowbray.
  20. Worst Old firm manager, but the best Agent we've ever had
  21. I knew we were going to be in trouble as soon as that line-up was announced. Utd were always going to be up for this tie after the perceived injustice of the penalties in the first game. I really think WS and Ally put out that side with one eye on the league game at the weekend. It was a gamble ( a major one IMO ) and it backfired. So, yup ... we got we deserved. I'll even wager Utd will get beaten by Raith in the semi too.
  22. I won't celebrate until it's mathematically impossible for us to lose the league. I admit it's highly unlikely the tims will win all their games ......but the way we are playing at the moment, I think it will be a long hard grind in the last 10 games.
  23. Agree with the guys that have replied .... he just runs with no thought of releasing a pass to a better placed team-mate. In the first half he could easily have played in Edu or Beasley for a great chance to open the scoring.
