very true a lot of refs need to grow balls. however the sfa and others are very poor at forcing refs to apply the laws mainly down to fear of loosing the blazers and the money from certain sponsors

as you can see from the user name I am a ref and I also assess refs performances. when doing lower levels i.e 7-6 that's you 1st promotion levels we are told to be soft on refs looking for promotion to act as encouragement. but from 5 upwards you are told to stamp on every daft detail.i.e tape or ankle supports.and you ask the ref why he missed certain decisions i.e the pen yesterday.if he missed it his lino at that level is supposed to flag it one or the other should be picking up on it and if they cant come up with a good reason for missing it you have to mark them down for failing to apply law.once that happens there is very little chance of them making the marks they need to get a good assessment. and the 3 strikes rule comes into play for them 3rd one you get dropped to a lower level of game i.e the championship and so on down the line.the fast track is proving that refs are being promoted to early with no experience of man management. I have assessed 1 local ref 5/6 times and each time has failed to make the marks required for promotion but is now doing the line as a level 3 and he is only just turned 22 way to young for that level

would estimate he was on an average of 25k pw so over a 20yr that would run to approx. 26m. beats me how anyone with half a brain can spend that kind of money and end up bankrupt. must have had some account at the bookies and I have no sympathy for them that waste that amount of money.

fair play murty is responsible for selection and tactics.but once the players are out there and they see its not working why the fuck can they not show some sort of desire and alter things themselves. players have a responsibility to be professional and that includes changing that that is broken.ok murty may have had a moan at them at ht but at least they could have held their heads up and said we tried your way it was fucked we tried our way. but they never TRIED either and that is a disgrace to the players the club and mostly the fans.

Not enough info.but every employee knows there are boundries that you dont cross.if they have crossed them then yes a suspension or sacking is warranted.thats not to say they should not have spoken out but there is a way of doing that whithout going head to head with your boss.even if he is shit we have all met shit bosses but still had to put up with it.and bite our lip

How many times have people here moaned about murty not making changes and here you are moaning because he made the change.he may well have thrown him under the bus but he could have thrown the lot under the bus and got more our of the nothing that was on there

Murty has been hung out to dry as a few have said. he is never managerial material and it shows with the tactical nous he has. saying that the players should hang themselves out to dry as well that performance was a total capitulation not one of them imo earned more than a performance mark of 2 and I am being generous there. they show no pride for the club team mates or supporters. we don't know what murty said about tactics pre match or at half time but whatever it was it wasn't working and the players could have taken ownership and moved it around there is only so much you can do from the touchline as murty has proved

50 shots is not that much for a group of 5/6players + wifes so your only talking about 4/5 per head. that's not even enough for a starter on a night out.myself and plenty other bears would drink plenty more than that on a night out.

Like a few have said us playing better would help negate the perceived bias with refs.its down to the manager and the players no matter what level you play at you know what refs are like so pro players managers should know how to play the ref.fact our guys cant do that is sad and frustrating as fuck.hence we get constant threads blaming refs some of it should be at the players and managers door
