So far there has been nothing to suggest that Lafferty is going to start scoring so I'd be happy with Defoe in place of Morelos, Candeias and Kent will surely create chances for Defoe. I would not be tempted to bring Davis into the team, it would be a risk. We need Arfield, McCrorie, and Jack to win the midfield battles first of all..

It's good to see someone pointing out how far the lunacy has spread by putting the facts out there, well done Dude. I wouldn't want to see the club getting involved in a tit for tat situation but was glad to hear Stevie Gerrard's comments on Clarke's vitriolic rantings.

There is no doubt that incidents involving Rangers players have been cited in the media/ online/ other clubs, as being worthy of examination by the compliance officer more than any other club. I'd be very surprised if anyone disputed this.

Yes it will be Pete but I like RM and only ever had a wee look on FF a couple of times and it seemed very different.
So that is why I think RM is best but it is only a personal opinion and many will disagree.
This sums up my opinion to a tee, only ever had a quick look on FF and didn't like it.

Disappointing so far and does not merit a starting place, failed to have any kind of influence. Understand he might not be match fit but he's not shown any glimpses that would suggest he should be a starter.

Candeias showed his worth today, not only his awareness for a great pass but our high press often starts with him. He also weighs in with some vital goals, so it's a hard decision for Gerrard to make if he's going to drop him in favour of Davis.

Ross McCrorie has to be in the starting 11 against the tougher teams/hammer throwers. The boys work goes unnoticed.
besides that we haven’t lost a league game while he’s been involved from the start.
That's an interesting stat, and as Colin says we have to earn the right to play our passing game by physically subduing the opposition. I said on another thread that perhaps Gerrard has come round to this way of thinking after the Kilmarnock game, in which case the signings of Defoe and Davis might not have been all that clever.

I think he's the right man for the job of getting us back to where we should be, you can tell he really cares and it's not just lip service in his interviews. I just wonder if the Kilmarnock game has shown him that we need to bully and dominate teams physically before we can exploit our superior skills, I.e. leaving out McCrorie for Davis was a mistake, as was trying to shoehorn Defoe into the team, in which case maybe he made a mistake in bring them here. Time will tell I suppose.

Considering he's played very little recently I thought he was solid today. Should be picked before Worral who still gives me the fear when he's on the ball, he looks like an accident waiting to happen. Barisic was OK, nothing great other than his balls into the box.

That would take the biscuit.
Far too subtle, and kinda agey.

Having read Gerrard's comments I'd say Borna is not flavour of the month and will find himself down the pecking order. The boss sounded really pissed off with him and his comments " You'll have to ask Borna" didn't make good reading, there may be trouble ahead.

Yes they do and there would be no point in having any forums if they didn't, debate and disagreement are what keeps me coming back.
Well put, I'm a relative newcomer but it seems that the majority on here all want the best for the club, whether that's BP9 or Blue Avenger, and we all have differing views on how best to achieve our aims. I know nothing about FF other than what I've heard on here but I feel that on here there is a freedom of expression which doesn't carry the threat of a ban.

How much would it cost aclub who wins promotionAs others have pointed out, for this to be done properly and fairly every premiere league club would have to have the facilities created to house the equipment. Who would pay for that ? And where's the money coming from to train and pay the extra staff required for every game ?
-
I think our fitness levels have improved noticeably under Gerrard, always thought the scum looked as if they could maintain a high tempo throughout the 90 minutes but now we look the fitter team. If that means a few more tough training sessions then so be it, we have to be the best we possibly can if we are to win the league and each player has to be aware of that.

I don’t even think it’s funny how the scum infested media try to drum it in how Rangers are bad and celtic are good.
no matter the story they always try to twist the tail.
the truth always outs itself though.
Problem is the truth doesn't come out, we won't hear or see in anything in the media about the disrespectful behaviour of the scum during the minute's silence or vile comments posted online. I've tried to ignore all this shitty behaviour and not react but to be honest I'm sick to my stomach of it, these people don't deserve to live in a civil society. Apologies for the wee rant, it's been brewing since the game.

What's the latest with Dorrans?
I'm sure last week it was said he'd be back at the end of January.

I see the media are putting it about that the compliance officer will be looking into Alfredo's behaviour during the game. My memory isn't what it was but when was the last time that Brown's many assaults were looked into ?

I'm prepared to cut SG some slack regarding our league form because I think Europe has been a big distraction, perhaps a huge distraction and drain on our resources. Added to that is the long term injuries to Dorrans and Murphy, both of whom I think would have weighed in with a few goals, plus all the other shorter term injuries to Arfield, Jack , Kent, Grezda, Barisisic, even Coulibaly missing for a few games, have had a negative effect.
-
Not making any excuses for that performance, and several others recently, but our injury record is frightening. Murphy and Dorrans long term absences have I think been very significant but when you add in Arfield, (twice) Jack, Coulibaly (to a lesser extent) , we have been very unlucky. I reckon Gerrard will deliver given time, perhaps it's too late for this season, in fact almost certainly too late unless we hammer them on Saturday, but I think he deserves another couple of transfer windows.

I have a flag up on 'reported members' - have I done something wrong ? Can someone please advise ?
Don't worry, it happens for some strange reason, I've got one as well. Anyway, think Wallace's lack of games makes him too much of a risk so that leaves Halliday and Flanagan. Halliday will probably be needed in midfield so that means it's Flanagan.

Tav as a player is decent. He's not garbage but he's not great. If he's on form then he's great.
The problem he has is that he is meant to lead and motivate the team. He is not able to do either and the only way we can drop him as captain is by selling. I'd be reluctant to do that but something has to change.
This about sums it up for me, Tav isn't captain material in that he's not a motivator, a leader, but I doubt we'd be able to get a better right back at present.

I've taken a wee bit confidence from that, does Haiiiday's inclusion point to him being in the starting eleven ?

Not the finished article but he gives the impression that he's learning, and improving, the more games he plays. Hopefully he goes on to become a mainstay of the team. His effort and commitment is obvious and Gerrard's comments about him being a midfielder rather than a defender are being proven to be accurate.
