For a long long time we have had unrealistic expectations especially where Europe was concerned.We just dont have it and no matter how many managers we have had and no matter how many millions that were spent we never had it and never will.Time for all to have a reality check about where the club is and where we can realistically go.

Have to agree with wearethepeople that if Sundays game had been against the scum there would have been 45,000 at the game.Regardless of whats going on at board level or the poor performances on the park.These excuses would have been forgotten about regardless.

Its pretty simple guys.Jig is past his best whatever that was.He is to slow in every position on the park so lets not kid ourselves with moving him into midfield.He hasnt the pace as has been shown countless times in the past 2 seasons.Time him and a few other favourites were dropped from the team and when their contracts are up they should be out the door.This would let you have a better idea of a longer term infrastructure rather than building teams round guys 34/35/36 years old.

Yes he won 2 titles but nothing outstanding in that achievement.Pretty sure Gary Bolan did the exact same thing at Livingston as AM and nobody gave it a minutes thought.If memory serves me correctly Bolans budget was considerably less than AMs in fact it was reported by Bolan himself at the time as being £350,000.Thats not his salary the full clubs budget so kind of puts AMs achievement into perspective..

Theres not a lot you can do with guys who are under contract apart from having them up for sale.Does anyone believe anyone would have paid any kind of money for the likes of McCulloch FFS.He is done has been for 2 seasons,if you actually go to the games and watch him he is done for pace every time so he resorts to pulling guys down as he knows hes fucked.Ive said on previous threads have a look at a real man of the club in Carlos Puyol who walked away from a remaining 2 years of his contract at Barca.Why because the man knew he was past his best through age or injury but at least he had the dignity and best thoughts for his club to do so.Does anyone honestly think Jig would do the same? Its all pretty much ifs and buts.The fact is he did play some of the youths in div 3 but as soon as he had a chance to bring in so called "OLDER BETTER PLAYERS" thats exactly what he did with every excuse under the sun to justify his decision.As far as younger guys being bullied off the ball i didnt see Hearts young players playing in Div 1 last week being bullied off the ball by our well paid seasoned players.

He pulled the same shit when we were still in PL against St Mirren.Finally had the balls to drop Maurice Eddu and we got ourselves up one nil.Then McCulloch sent off for elbowing.Took a forward off put on Eddu to hold one nil and guess what.We lost two one.So his tactical pish isnt new its been there all the time like his defending every corner with everyone back defending in div 3 and div 2. Only this season has he decided to change that masterstroke slightly.

Its all very well coming out fired up for the battle but the game is won by footballers not by guys running about like headless chickens booting everything and everyone.Yes you need your battlers but ultimately you need the guys with skill and a team playing with some kind of plan and unfortunately we dont seem to have either at the moment.

So after Murray park had been open for over ten years according to Ally we couldnt have produced a team worthy of winning div 3.Doesnt say much for our set up there then.Has never been anything other than a glorified training ground.Should be sold off for houses for all the youth that gets produced.I believe the talent must be there but we dont and havent had the management team in place for years even before AM who are willing to give some of them a chance.Look at last season a perfect opportunity to give some youth guys EXPERIENCE when the leaguge was won with half a dozen games to spare.Did AM and the other stooges give the youth players a chance.No we wanted to preserve our unbeaten run in div 2 what pish.Absolutely pathetic and this season,could Gasparatto not be there instead of yet another injury prone mishap like Zaliukas who fucked us off last season,or Crawford instead of Shiels or another dud Parrelta,or Gallagher instead of any of the front four.Absolute fucking shambles.

Youth has never been given any chance at Rangers for years not just recently.When AM took over the team from Walter how many of the first team were produced from Murray Park. Dick Advocatt insisted in Murray Park being built.Perhaps his idea was to follow the same pattern as clubs like Ajax.but since it was opened it has never delivered its true potential.Whatever the reason,managers to frightened to take a chance seems to be my number one choice.If the talent isnt there after 13 years of being open someone must be asking the question WHY.WHY do boys teams have to pay to go and train there when it would make good sense to invite teams of all age groups to come to MP free of charge and who knows perhaps we could spot our next big thing.Then again you do need guys who can spot the talent in place as well.

Youth player development has been low on the clubs agenda for years.IMO thats part of the reason we are in this mess now.We havent had managers in the past willing to give potential a go,opting for the easy option of buying everyone elses development successes and ignoring our own.Managers to frightened to take a risk so now we have no scouting system as such,management with no faith in our own youth and the final nail no money to buy anyone elses.Just one big shambles.

Perhaps McCulloch cant drop himself but he could take a leaf out of a truly great captains book in Carlos Puyol. Knowing he could no longer deliver the performances that he knew was expected of him the man resigned with 2 years left on his im sure hansomely paid contract.Not like some at our great club just now sucking every last drop they can when clear to everyone a good few of them should just fuck off.Then again Puyol was a true Barca man unlike some of the imposters at Rangers now.
