  1. I agree. I think it's probably fair to say that the best any of us have seen of him was the game against us. However, he's a big boy and I have faith that he'll get to grips with the mental nature of Scottish football soon.
  2. How on earth am I meant to get back to work after that?! Amazing resilience from the team - Ryan Kent is super fit and thought Ejaria was tremendous.
  3. Every single team we've played this season has tried this before every single game. Has it worked once? No. Hopefully Stevie continues business as usual by doing the talking on the pitch.... and then after the game to really put the boot in!
  4. Normally quite harsh on him, but thought he was comfortably the pick of our midfield 3 yesterday. Broke up the play well, got stuck in and passed sensibly throughout.
  5. Totally incorrect and a massive generalisation. Did you not watch the world cup?
  6. I agree. For what Morelos brings to the team, in this inflated market the risk is that we pay over the odds for someone who contributes less. Not saying it's impossible - we've just signed a Croatian international for less - but it massively limits the pool of players available to us. The ambition this year has to not be profit and has to be getting results. Look where the focus on the former appears to be getting them.
  7. Classic media unsettling the night before a big game. Would be surprised and disappointed if there was anything in it. If true, we'd need to spend proper cash on getting a suitable replacement. The Flute and the "Ulster Gazelle" for the season would not be ideal, I don't think. Whatever happened with the two Bosnian guys?
  8. Have got Russian visas before down here with relatively little trouble. Just make sure you have your invitation sorted. By all means make a week of it and go to Moscow. Just be wary of Red Square - they're big fans of Lennon still...
  9. Great that there's no hedge-shouting this year, but hard to ignore how poor we looked going forwards (Middleton aside) across both legs.
  10. So there's no way to get a European away without being a TC member? Suppose there's sitting in the home end - absolutely desperate to get a photo of myself in that hedge in Luxembourg (should we draw them)
  11. Sat in the away end at the curtain-raiser in 2009(?) against Falkirk because my mate's brother played for them. McCulloch scored a belter and it was hard to stay quiet. For the avoidance of doubt, they really really hate us.
  12. Injured. Another 7-10 days.
  13. Any word on whether young Ross is available?
  14. Watch out watching it near Red Square, a lot of them are big fans of Lenin....
  15. Pre-empting a number of hilarious replies of "7-10 days", does anyone know when Dorrans is due back? Supplementary question, would he, in your opinion, walk straight back into the team with a central 3 of McCrorie, Holt and Jack (when not suspended) playing well?
  16. I thought this was a Rangers forum?
  17. Save his goal line clearance, Jack was totally anonymous and the same can be said for Dorrans today. We cannot have our players hiding in the big games where it matters. This is happening too often.
  18. Hadn't City bought him from Fulham for something stupid like £12m after a long run on form in Championship?
  19. The White Bear is definitely the place but make sure you get down early (i.e. at least an hour before kick off)
  20. Hi everyone, Not sure how many of you are London (or indeed south of England)-based, but if you are or if you've ever been on holiday down here during the season you've probably visited the White Bear for a game (and perhaps met me!). The owners of the building the White Bear is in have announced that they want to convert it all into luxury flats (classic London), meaning it could be the end of a pub that has been the best place to watch Rangers games down here by some distance. They posted the below on their Facebook earlier, which I have copy pasted: ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** SAVE OUR PUB! It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that the owners of our beautiful building have applied for planning permission with Islington Council to close and refurbish The White Bear as well as turning the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors into self-contained flats. This action means we will be forced to leave the pub after 17 years of both living and working here. You guys were all amazing at voting for us in the TimeOut awards and we were so proud to win! We’re calling on you now to contact Islington Council and ask them not to allow these works to go ahead. The White Bear is a beautiful, listed building and the pub itself is a wonderful family business and we’ve loved all 17 years of being here! It’s heart-breaking to think this will be our very last Christmas! If you feel you could possibly get involved, the application numbers are P2016/4661/LBC and P2016/4585/FUL and the DEADLINE IS 5 JANUARY. I know these kind of responses don't tend to garner much in terms of action, but it may well be an opportunity to ensure there is a decent place in London to watch our games, and it would go a tiny bit of the way to show the landlord, who has opened at the weekend especially for us, our appreciation for his efforts.
  21. Initially read that as 'Payet' and nearly fell off my chair.
  22. I just have a quick question. How come so many of you on here are so quick to describe something you don't like as being "gay"? What's wrong with being gay?
  23. Interesting that they've dredged up bets from the very day he became a Rangers player. That suggests that he perhaps was continuing his pattern of behaviour under the English rules (which I understand are more lenient) and nobody told him (or he didn't listen) about the more stringent requirements in Scotland. The club really could do more to make its staff aware of these rules, particularly when they've joined from a league that has a different system.
  24. Thanks for the tips! Club Europe sounds like it might be a winner. Hopefully I make it back to Ayrshire after the all you can drink...!
