  1. Know Thine Enemy. If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle. Sun Tzu, The Art of War Keep our eyes and ears on the lot of them mate!?
  2. Don't know if our board even realise it eejay but they've created a disconnect between them and the fans. Not between the Club and the fans because that can never happen. Still processing tonight's episode but, yet again, it's patently obvious that we're made a 'special' case of! For example, all the other clubs who suffered an administration event were presented as victims of financial mismanagement by spivs and their poor fans were afforded sympathy! The hierarchy of fault and blame was always placed on the people responsible for the wrongdoing whereas, with Rangers, the emphasis was placed, to a larger and more noticeable extent, on the Club, unfair sporting advantage, buying success and shortchanging the rest of Scottish football as a consequence! For me, it's a sleekitly framed manipulation of the facts by a powerful, national broadcaster supported by our detractors....who, for anyone that's not sure, is everyone outside our Club!! Back to our board, and disconnect..if King and the rest don't start to REALLY stand up for the Club and Bears instead of pussyfooting around these issues then any support they still enjoy will dwindle big time!
  3. Welcome to The Rangers lads! Think it's clear MW knows he needs to develop promising young players that maybe have fallen just short of winning contracts at Man City and Leicester, for example. That appears to be the longer term plan. Potentially, we get a young, dynamic team which is more reflective of what we had last season, albeit in the Championship, plus we may be able to sell them on for big bucks in a few seasons if they make the grade here. This season must have been a real headache for the gaffer because he realises the need to improve dramatically to challenge the taigs. He also realises we've not got the readies to spend big so he's been forced to compromise his philosophy by recruiting older players with lots of experience but who are slowing down, shall we say. This policy goes against Warburton's previous statements on "adding value", "keeping the average age of the team down" and "minimum squad size so no one feels sidelined"! I get the feeling he's brought the older guys in more in the hope that they can see us challenge than feeling confident in young, vibrant players that he'd obviously prefer! He's just cutting his cloth due to us not having the finances to compete in a massively inflated market! He's, in a way, fighting with one arm tied behind his back and it's not of his doing (just ask King)...to his credit, he's just getting on with it! We need to give him time because, who knows, maybe this will still be our season...have faith!
  4. ?I'm a boy, I'm a boy, But my ma won't admit it, I'm a boy, I'm a boy, But if I say I am, I'd get it! Courtesy of The Who.
  5. Oh, for another display like that at torbett's lair on the 10th....bring it on!!
  6. Makes you wonder if it's the defenders or the way they're set up that's the problem.
  7. You couldn't get away with that in my street.
  8. Incidentally, that turned out a great wee bike.
  9. It's a bit like when ma wee maw promised me a blue Raleigh Grifter one Christmas and I ended up with a red Raleigh Tomahawk instead!?
  10. The powers that be originally deemed the word (a word ffs?) 'Fenian' as the offending word but because they make the rules up as they go along when it concerns Rangers fans you could add any word as a replacement and you'd still be arrested. Fans of other clubs sing different versions of TBB and not a finger is lifted so that leaves us to conclude that it's not one word, the lyrics in general or the song or tune in its entirety....it's who's fucking singing it that's their problem! I actually believe they're not too bothered even if it results in a conviction (but delighted if it does, of course) as long as they're turning the screw at every opportunity!!
  11. We're all barred....dine sie!!! Very sidappointing!
  12. I'm supremely confident...shouldn't be, I know, but I am. It's just not the Rangers way to go into battle against the taigs browbeaten! The international break and the Linfield game gives us a chance to take stock and get some things sorted. Before the semi against them no one gave us a hope in hell...our defence wouldn't cope. Well, we gave the fuckers a footballing lesson that day and, to a man, including our defenders, we played beyond what even most of us thought possible! We are taking time to gel, no doubt about it, and it is a worry because we can't be fucking about in this league. Every single team we play this season will want to put us to the sword but is that anything new? My mate's auld granda used to say to us 40 years ago that everybody wants to beat The Rangers...it's their cup final. As evidenced by the taigs poor attendances since our absence from the top division versus what will undoubtedly be a full house for the upcoming game at torbett's lair, we can sing "You're only here to see The Rangers" and, to a taig, they'll all be forced to agree! We need to raise our game though...I think we will!! Bring them on!! 2-3 The Famous!!! WATP
  13. First installment has covered approximately 15 years, starting with the Souness revolution. Common thread throughout was sectarianism, financial mismanagement and the inference of reckless spending, affording a club an unfair sporting advantage. In the main, and totally predictably, it was directed at us! Of course, we had the transparent and feeble half-arsed attempts at impartiality which, of course, they shoddily put together but, and no fucking mistake, that was predominantly anti Rangers! Surprised anyone? Expect them to up the ante big fucking time in the concluding episode! In short, the problem for not only Scottish football but Scottish society as a whole? RANGERS and RANGERS FANS!!! Fair and balanced? Accurate and honest even? Not a bit of it..BASTARDS!!!
  14. Agree mate. This is about all we can do, collectively, to affect this despicable wrong. Together, we have a lot of muscle and we should wield it to good effect where we can. If journalism in this country still possessed any modicum of decency and integrity then Jane Hamilton and her type would be called out on her lies by her contemporaries and made a pariah or, at least, shamed into checking her future behaviour. Sadly, and fucking infuriatingly, her fellow hacks within, and without, the daily reb will close ranks around her, give her a tissue and tell her what an asset she is to her profession! We're fighting more than this one particular Rangers hater. We have a job on our hands, and, as you say...we need to play it smart!
  15. How fucking embarrassing and juvenile is this thread?! Debating over 20, yes 20 ffs, versions of TBB!! My fuck, what's became of us?! There is but one version of TBB that is acceptable to us all, and that's the version we've sung on the hallowed terraces and stands of Ibrox for decades! Don't you see? By debating, tweaking words and lines, we've surrendered to sensitive souls with selective hearing that are popping up all over Scotland in an ever increasing, and ever louder, fashion. Emboldened by a Scottish 'government', judiciary, police force, education system, bursting to the seams with left-wing fascists and, so called, social justice warriors who want to cry freedom whilst stifling and shutting down freedoms whenever and wherever it conflicts with their version of the notion! They don't know the meaning of freedom of speech or freedom of expression! IF we feel that strongly about TBB and our heritage and we're confident enough in ourselves and the merits of the song then we should defiantly sing it with gusto...and to hell with the consequences, otherwise we should just condemn it to the annals of history! I know that's all very well me saying that..People have jobs and reputations to uphold. I mean, who the fuck wants dragged through the courts and convicted for a, admittedly, dearly loved song?! So, the question is (or should be), do we sing the proper version with our obligatory, defiant venom or, do we bin it altogether? Anything in between is futile because they'll charge People regardless of any changes to the words! Why? It's quite simple...they want (more than ever) to shut us up and shut us down!!! For me, it's a straight choice between original or nothing at all! Hello, Hello We're Very Silly Boys Hello, Hello We've Allowed Them To Shut Our Noise We're Up To Our Knees In Our Own Blood Want Us To Surrender Til We Die For We've Became Very Silly Boys WHAT'S IT TO BE LADS?!!
  16. Might say it on their passports but not one of the fuckers are British!
  17. **TAIG ALERT** Mocket finger nails and a green carpet!!
  18. Heard a Wispa that Frank McAfannie and Adam Rooney are doing the new Lee's Maccarooney Bar advert!?
  19. ?Top post mate! I'm particularly impressed with your geographical knowledge...much more precise than mine! Thorntonhall...is that a scheme?
  20. Would not be at all surprised if this group of taig shareholders, known as "the requisitioners", were, in actual fact, being advised, instructed, encouraged, manipulated, and maybe even secretly funded or rewarded in some way by their taig club to agitate against, in any fucking way they can possibly conceive, The Rangers and Our Fans!! Think about it..the taig club has to display a veneer of professionalism and steer clear of, what would undoubtedly be viewed as, petty point scoring against Us, but its desire to (initially, see us deid having fail failed) do as much damage as it can to our reputation and disrupt our operations at all levels, and in all aspects, is unquenchable!! Is it inconceivable that it would "use" a group of shareholders who would be only too willing to please the glesca jap due to their shared "values" and undoubted hatred for Us? These fanbhoy ads have a distinctly botched, contrived and unprofessional air about them...ideal...gives the impression that the taig club has absolutely no part in them!! However, we shouldn't underestimate the damage a carefully placed piece of shite can do to a stew!! I believe emperor liewellhito's paw prints are all over these ads and "the requisitioners"!!? "the requisitioners"??....what a monicker....how very gunpowder plot!!?? The good news is Bears ..whateverthefuckever..We Will Prevail!!! WATP
  21. For me, marches and demonstrations don't work any longer. Sure, it makes a statement, but it's a statement that'll never be listened to nor acted upon to our satisfaction. For a while now, on various threads, a theme has emerged which most of us agree with...and that is that we are living in a country where every seat of power - government, local authorities, most political parties, a significant number of politicians, the judiciary, lawyers, police Scotland, educational establishments, unions......the list goes on and on - has been occupied by people from, so called, minority groups. There are historical reasons for this gradual, but nonetheless shocking for it, shift in demographic! Immigrants, in different era's, for differing reasons were welcomed into our country....some for economic reasons, some coming from war-torn countries, and some because we were short of labour etc etc. Most of them started off with nothing so they grouped together with a view to improving their lot..groups and communities emerged based on race, ethnicity, nationality and religion. For decades and decades they have been organised, almost militaristic in fashion, with the emphasis on education, education, education! Let's be honest here...mainly through their mosques and chapels...their separate schools and non inclusive organisations, they've made a concerted effort to ensure the next generation succeeds more than the previous one. So, where their grandparents were selling clothes pegs, washing line and cloths round the doors...or, tarring roads....the current generation are now doctors, politicians, teachers, top cops, judges and journalists!! Now, there's not a lot wrong with that! Where there IS a problem is when they start abusing that power..start seeing themselves as an elite....look upon themselves as the arbiters of truth and justice....become arrogant, thinking they, and they alone, will sort out society's ills!! Therein lies the fucking problem for us, because collectively, and in unison, a phenomenon has emerged, and that is that (in their bitter and skewed view) we represent society's ills....we are the problem...we are the wicked, uneducated, sectarian bigots....and make no mistake about it, they are trying everything in their power to eradicate our institutions, our communities, our culture, our belief systems and our flags and emblems!!! Tommy Robinson, formerly of the EDL, of Pegida recognised that marches and demonstrations didn't work - partly because nazis and drunken racist yobs were attaching themselves to his organisation - because the media, the political system and the police conspired to damn him as a racist bigot, a stain on his character that he's still trying to shed to this day!! Agree with Tommy's politics or not but the point still stands...they'd do exactly the same with us! As soon as we marched with Union Flags etc, we'd be kettled, goaded, arrested on trumped up charges....you name it, they'd lay it on thick!! All we'd achieve is more unwarranted bile and hatred directed at us!! If we lived in a fair and equitable society there would be no reason to even think about marching but, if we had to march in such a society, we'd have a chance of being listened to! Sadly, and worryingly, no such society exists in this once great country any longer!!!
