I'am absolutely cut up & devastated and no words can describe how I am feeling right now. Ben was my lifelong best friend, we have been through everything together - he was a brother to me. I have more memories with him than I do anybody else, from going to Ibrox together every second week and thousands more - memories I will now cherish for the rest of my life.
Reading the posts in this thread, people who did & did not know him personally sharing their kind words, its the only thing that has made me smile in the last 48hrs. He was a great guy and one of a kind and that goes to show.

As an immediate act, a few of us were going to send flowers to his parent’s house today with a note of condolence - having slept on it, I’m going to do it on behalf of the whole forum
We can discuss @RFC55s idea about a fundraiser as a team and post back - I’ll speak to the family too and ask if there’s anything specific they’d want us to do 

I'm no sure what to say. I hope I don't say something wrong or offend anyone but I'll try.
It's just fucking shite. Never knew Ben personally. Only knew him from interacting on here. It's strange cause you form an opinion on someone and paint a picture of them based on nothing but words written on a football internet page but with Ben I always thought he seemed like a genuinely good guy. Then you read about him from other good posters.and it's just echoes that. He had his troubles and he was strong enough to share them and reach out but he was genuinely the first to reach out and give advice or show sympathy for anyone else going through things. To be in such a dark place whilst trying to shed light on others is a huge testament to the shape of a man.  
I'm sorry for his friends and family. I'm sorry for those who knew him. I'm sorry for the strangers who reached out to him. I'm sorry this happened. Some of you will be questioning why and beating yourself up but you can't. Loads of good people on here reached out. You'll never understand it, nobody can.
To anyone out there who’s hurting - it’s not a sign of weakness to ask for help. It’s a sign of strength. If you're going through hell, keep going. It gets better. I hope I'm not out of order for using this as a guide or promotion but the Mind Matters forum on here is genuinely one of the best things that exists anywhere. We have to learn something from this. We have to use it somehow and if this teaches us anything it's that we can all use a little help or give a little help and we can all do that in mind matters. Even if you're not comfortable asking for help in an open group platform, there are many good folks on there who have their inboxes open. Myself included.
