  1. Totally agree mate. If we go to the end of August without even a sniff of a decent CB/CF, then there's definitely a bit of 'spin' going on with the media. Hope I'm wrong
  2. Starting with Miller in the line-up is baffling for me considering the form MOH has shown so far in the friendlies and the cup games. Would also like to see MW make some substitutions at half time when it clearly isn't working - the 60 min sub thing is a bit too predictable now. Apart from that, it's early days
  3. Had a shocker today. He looks every inch a 37yr old well past his peak. Got the feeling he was only signed as a stop gap anyway. The quicker Crooks gets fit the better....or MW getting another decent defender in before the window closes.
  4. Agree....It was like starting with one player down today from kick-off. He's been living the high life in Manhattan recently and boy does it show. No way should he start again until he can prove his fitness and hunger if and when he comes on as a sub.
  5. Spot on! And the good thing about this season is that we have actually now got the players who can unlock packed defences (which will be the norm at home), Niko, Forrester, Dodoo etc...and if teams have a real go at us, we can then hit them on the break with the frightening pace of O'Halloran, Windass or Mackay. Brilliant!
  6. Yeah, I know where you're coming from, but I'm just scratching my head how Warburton would fit him in? We now have a plethora of midfielders who can play right attacking midfield: O'Halloran, Forrester and Windass. Possibly Dodoo too, if he signs. Best midfield in the country, by far!
  7. Ha! Good call...and if we can get 80 million quid for Tav if and when we sell him, even better!
  8. Fair point. But we then lose all of Tav's goals and forward runs if we drop him. His link up play is brilliant too, A cracking player and his goal yesterday was simply sublime! Yeah, just a pity he is not a bit stronger and more savvy defensively though.
  9. Agree with your comment. I think O'Halloran is going to go on and have a brilliant season for us now. Nobody can get anywhere near him when he is up to full speed running at defenders.
  10. Yeah, I can see why Warburton brought him in. As strong as an ox, with very good awareness of what's happening round about him, and good link-up play too - especially in the box. Several times last season, I watched 2-3 defenders trying to push and cajole him at one time, trying to get the ball off him without success, coz he's so strong. Oh, and a cracking left foot shot on him too! Just wish he would score a few more goals with his frigging head though! If he can add this to his game, that will be the cherry on top for me! Brilliant.
  11. Yip....pmsl at the result! D: Roger's reputation at Liverpool showed he is nothing more than a cheque book manager. Total flop there with his signings. Warburton is going to prove to be far too savvy for this chancer. We welcome the chase!
  12. And of course, celtic getting humped in Europe by a bunch of nobodys AGAIN! What a day!!
  13. I've never known a player who divides opinion amongst the support like Rob Kiernan. You are right, he had some great games for us, but geez, he sure had some shockers too! I think now that we have a much more solid and stronger midfield in front of him, might help our defence a lot. At times, last season, we played a 2-5-3 system, which left him very badly exposed! Perhaps the big experienced Clint - who doesn't mess around and takes no prisoners - playing alongside him now can improve him a lot, and get him up to the next level?!
  14. That's what I was thinking. He has taken his foot off the gas the last couple of seasons, following his model partner around. I'm sure our manager will sort that out though, and get him back to his peak in no time. Look at Forrester - he was terrific for us before his injury, once he got up to speed. Brilliant!
  15. Welcome Niko. Great signing - hope he can get his fitness up to full speed. He was brilliant in the premiership. Just hope young Mckay doesn't disappear off the face of the earth now though, as he had a superb season for us, and he is still improving. Maybe Niko can teach him a thing or two. Superb!
  16. I know. Totally bizarre. And still the silence from the SFA is DEAFENING.
  17. @plumbGER...You obvioulsy. Who else?? Now piss off you bell end and go troll someone else.
  18. @plumbGERI think we should check your D.O.B with such a silly immature comment - keep away.
  19. Hey less of the "50% shifty" nonsense! Cheers for the intro - had a look at your website. Excellent causes. Donation just sent. Happy now?!
  20. Wtf?? I think you are with stupid post like that. Engage your brain the next time, if you have one.
