Let's face it, international football is finished and most players would rather protect themselves from prancing about for their country and potentially getting a career ending injury, the real money is in club football, gone are the days when playing for your country was held in awe by players and even fans, I can't remember the last time I got excited at an International game , I did watch England in the World Cup but even then, the game at that level has simply lost something it probably won't ever reclaim, we can thank the likes of Sky tv for sounding the death knell for International football.
