Let's everyone calm down for a minute it's all very easily explained.
Easy to forget his first game in 1967 as he was only a toddler at a mere 14 years old.... I personally remember nothing about 3rd/4th year in high school.
He obviously went to his first game in 72 when he was 19 and chose to keep his eyes shut that full season so that's why the first person he remembers scoring was Derek Parlane in 73.
Its been explained and its good enough for me. Let's all put this shite to bed.
