  1. They've certainly benefitted fro a few "lucky breaks" Penalties not given Dundee United (H) - won 1-0 (2 point gain) Livingston (H) - drew 0-0 (1 point gain) Motherwell (H) - won 1-0 (2 point gain) they scored in 45+3 from a free kick that was of the "very, very soft" variety Aberdeen (A) - won 3-2 (2 point gain) The offsides Hearts (H) - won 1-0 (2 point gain) Aberdeen (A) - won 3-2 (2 point gain) That's 11 points gained from wrong decisions For balance Sakala was offside v Motherwell in the 1-1 game to gain us a point, they had a good goal wrongly chopped off v Hearts in the first game which would have gained them a point and we got away with a penalty at Pittodrie which gained us a point - still 8 points to the good on "lucky breaks" If things are going to even themselves out this season we've got a fair bit of "luck" coming our way in the last 12 games Also no-one should forget the benefit and "lucky winter break" they got when the winter break was brought forward, without doubt the luckiest of lucky breaks We've been below par for most of the season, keep up the levels of the last 2 games and we will win it, even if their luck doesn't change. With the right attitude and application we can win 12/12
  2. No free kick or card that night either
  3. Looks like an injury to our most important midfielder is somehow funny Some strange fans on here
  4. What surprises me is the relative lack of coverage of his performance, especially on the back of Rangers' letter of complaint. It truly wouldn't surprise me if this clown was awarded one of the remaining OF games. On a different not Dude, as I think you gave the answer before...... I'm sure there's a rule that suspension for booking rises to 2 games for 12 bookings after 19 games (as opposed to 1 game for 6 yellows in the first 19) Does this mean everyone falls into the extended criteria after 19 league games are completed, even if they haven't played 19 games? Or does the extended criteria apply to the individual player? I would have thought the latter scenario as a player could potentially play 5 games and get 5 bookings in the first half of the season and then play 6 with 6 bookings in the second half meaning 11 bookings in 11 games with no suspension The reason for asking is that Balogun (thanks to his ridiculous booking yesterday) is now on 4 yellows in 13 appearances and (if it's by individual player) will face a suspension if he's booked twice in his next 6 outings
  5. They already reached this point before Christmas but "fortunately" the winter break was brought forward and injuries (and Covid cases) cleared up, reinforcements were added and a wee mid season rule change (fucking baffling) now allows half of the outfield players to be replaced when tired. The scenario you paint was almost a certainty but with a couple of "fortunate breaks" it's now far less likely
  6. Would anyone be surprised if he got one of the remaining OF games?
  7. Clown shouldn't be anywhere near a football match
  8. If he'd signed for them he'd be playing tonight Still wouldn't surprise me if Kyogo appeared from nowhere
  9. According to him there was several interested clubs so in reality he passed on them surely? Hopefully Wales qualify for the World Cup as that might be crucial in trying to keep him for next season, especially if we win the league and get CL football. If he has the WC to look forward to he will want to be playing regularly. Going to a top 6/8 EPL club would almost certainly limit game time and would be unlikely anyway. Next level EPL who play attractive football (Leeds, Wolves, Southampton etc) is more likely but with no chance of winning anything or any European football. Lower end EPL would be a grind that he probably would avoid and again there's no chance of success or Europe. This is where we could really appeal. Competitive, CL, chance to win, passionate fans in big stadium.... We can really get under people's skin and offer things most of the EPL can't.
  10. I'm not moaning You said it wasn't offside which is bollocks, it WAS offside How far off it was is irrelevant Hearts one was off too
  11. Don't think so mate, that makes no sense really
  12. Tav, Alfredo and Aribo all one off Goldson 2 off These 4 have 3 bookings less than the tarriers entire squad
  13. For someone who flies into tackles (often studs up) he's been rather fortunate with bookings - ZERO in 16 league games Tav has 5, 2 of which weren't even fouls and is 1 away from a suspension Like I say, fortunate lad is Tony
  14. So is the Arrogant Aussie a lying c*nt or is he actually the first manager in the history of football who told his players to pull out of tackles? If he's telling the truth (there's a first time for everything) then he should hold his hands up and admit that he caused his player to get injured by advising him to be a shitebag. If he didn't shit himself he wouldn't have got hurt, it really is that simple and straightforward.
  15. I tend to agree, my natural instinct is to assume they are lying especially with regard to injuries. The Arrogant Aussie strikes me as being a devious cunt - no eye contact and mumbling when he lies, aggressive if questioned or asked to quantify anything and full of contradictions They basically asked the Japan boss not to name Kyogo as he wasn't fit (although I don't think they thought he'd replace him with Maeda) As soon as the squad was named out came the Arrogant Aussie telling everyone how tough wee Kyogo is and how he would defy the medics with the speed of his recovery - time will tell but my gut instinct is that they've overstated not understated his injury. If it's neither understated nor overstated and he's anywhere close to fit I get the feeling they'll push him to play (especially with Maeda away) and risk the consequences Getting big Aribo back is a major boost for us but we will still be missing Alfredo One thing for sure is that we need to turn up with a better attitude than we did at Pittodrie if we want to win the game. High tempo, in their faces and on the front foot and we will beat them 100%
  16. When is this named? They're playing Mexico on Friday and half their squad is UK based ffs I know their a bit laid back but do they just buzz round on Wednesday and see who fancies a game on Friday
  17. I admire your optimism CB. Big Fil has managed 3 league appearances this season. He's been plagued with injuries for too long. 29 in April and out of contract next summer. Love the big man but we can't rely on him and need to plan for the future without him
  18. I appreciate what your saying mate but there's a head and heart scenario hear My heart says "no surrender, play them" my head says "play them at their own game" Postponing would have a few benefits and actually makes sense > Alfredo and Aribo are arguably our two most important player, Aribo in particular makes a huge difference and we have no-one who can replace him. Add Roofe to that as Alfredo's natural replacement and we are definitely badly affected > Roofe, Jack, Helander, Arfield, Davis etc will have more time to recover and be properly ready > Any new signings would have time to bed in > They are more likely than us to progress in Europe, possibly even twice, and fixture congestion is more likely to affect them than us - they wanted the break moved so make them reap what they sowed > Put the SPFL on the spot and make them justify not allowing a postponement (every chance they would refuse) off the back of moving the break against our wishes Like I say head or heart............... can see both arguments
  19. Kyogo will be playing against us. They've basically told the Japan manager he's "no very well" and asked him to leave him out of the squad as he's not going to be fit anyway. If he was named in the squad he couldn't play for his club if he pulled out. If he's not in the squad and makes a remarkable recovery he can play. The fact that this sounds thoroughly devious pretty much confirms it to be true if you ask me. They've manipulated players dying, fictitious end of season tours to Japan and "we can't play without fans - well apart from Boxing Day" so overstating an injury to the Japanese manager won't phase them. Not having him named in the squad is key. Once the squad is named he'll start to show signs of improvement, be back training with the squad and miraculously recover. Rogic will be the only player they're missing I'd guess
  20. Whether we go 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 the biggest fear I have is that we persist with Hagi as he imo is offering very little. He has 2 goals (first game v Livi and Tues v sheep) and ZERO assists in 15 league appearances but for some reason continues to be a first pick. He has no pace, can't tackle, gives away free kicks in dangerous position too often, rarely goes past his man (see pace) and frustrates the life out of me by trying to make simple things look spectacular. Playing Hagi v them would be stupid If Roofe is available I'd go Kent Arfield Sakala behind him, if not I'd go Kent Sakala Wright with constant movement and speed. Personally I wouldn't go with Itten as he's to static and would actually (imo) suit their defenders to face rather than three speed merchants. Their full backs bomb on and leave lots of space that can be exploited round the sides and they struggle with players running at them. Having Arfield fit is crucial too. He gets this fixture and is always in their faces as well as being an attacking threat from midfield. We missed him badly at Pittodrie No Roofe - 4-3-3 Greegs Tav Goldson. Souttar/ Balogun/ Bassey depending on who's fit/signed. Bassey/ Barisic Arield Davis/Lundstrum/Sands. Kamara Wright Sakala Kent Roofe available - 4-2-3-1 Greegs Tav Goldson. Souttar/ Balogun/ Bassey depending on who's fit/signed. Bassey/ Barisic Davis/Lundstrum/Sands. Kamara Sakala. Arfield Kent Roofe Either of those line-ups with a positive approach will beat them Sitting in and lacking tempo like Tuesday and we will struggle Ideally we might have a couple of new signings in but even then Old Firm debuts are hit and miss Bring it on
