  1. We can and should do both NI The officials have cost us a few points this season for sure However if Greegs had caught or punched a routine corner in injury time v Hearts, not forgot that keepers can use their hands in the 96th minute at Dingwall (one of the most bizarre attempts at saving a ball I've ever witnessed), not dropped the ball at a guys feet the same day or cut out the cross v Motherwell we'd be 6points better off. Not singling out Greegs just an example of looking in the mirror at ourselves. Back to the refs........... father Clancy did tell everyone that the refs knew exactly what was at stake this season before a ball was kicked.......... how very insightful Kevin
  2. Fair enough mate but I still don't see how we take it out of the officials hands tbh. This season has been as bad as I can ever recall for the influence of the officials, possibly because things have been so tight between us and those cunts and it's true to say that they have gained more than they've lost from poor decisions and we are the opposite. Since they're agm and the finger pointing at officials they've had a lot of fortunate breaks. Moving the winter break was by some distance the single biggest influence on this season. We were on a run of 9/9 with Aberdeen (A) and the tarriers (A) to play. By the time we played both of these games both were stronger (the tarriers hugely so) and we were missing key players. If we had taken 6 points from those two games the league was pretty much done and dusted We were told it was because we simply couldn't play without fans - only to immediately play a round of fixtures without fans 3 days later and before the games we "simply couldn't play without fans". Bizarre or corrupt? Add in changing the rules mid-season to allow 5 subs at the request/suggestion of a team in the east end who had injury problems, a large squad and an exhausting play style, this has truly been a strange season.......... rules like this should NEVER be changed midseason
  3. How do you "set up to take every game we play out of the officials hands" ?? If the ref is looking straight at a player almost getting his shirt ripped off his back and decides to do nothing, how do we set up to take that out of the officials hands? If Sakala's going to to score and gets dragged to the ground and all 4 officials decide to ignore it, how do we set up to take that out of the officials hands? Those two decisions alone (if the penalties were scored) would see us 1 point behind instead of 6 and the league still in our hands........ fine margins but how do we set up to take that out of the officials hands? Add in the fact that Carter Vickers was already on a booking and should have been sent off (I say should rather than would as that would have been in the hands of oor Wullie and I genuinely don't know how anyone takes that out of his hands)
  4. Do you know if you need to wait the 2 hours for your results or can you go and they send them to you electronically?
  5. Leaving aside the game in the 90s when we banned the cunts, there's only ever been one game at Ibrox with just home fans and that was this season. For the corresponding fixture at the theatre of screams with no away fans most tarriers reckon it was one of the best atmospheres ever at their shitehole. As far as only the 800 or so in the corner goes that's happened 3 times at Ibrox. For the first 2 (Jack 1-0 and Tav/Arfield 2-0) the place was absolutely rocking both times and having 2,500 or 800 of those cunts in wouldn't have changed that one bit. The crowd can influence the players (positively and negatively) Performances and winning create and maintain the atmosphere - a few extra tarriers doesn't Keep them in the corner and keep Ibrox rocking Any Rangers fan going to Ibrox next Sunday thinking the atmosphere will be shite because there's only 800 savco fans is talking shite
  6. Just in the past month things would be far different with VAR in the league The penalties and red cards at Tannadice and the last offside against Morelos cost us 4 points and top spot as well as chalking off their winner at Pittodrie. That's a 6 point swing in the space of a couple of weeks. Playing parked busses is difficult and not helped by poor officials and oddly enough in our last 4 we have dropped 4 points while playing well and took full points with our poorer performances at StJohnstone and v the sheep If the players bring the commitment and the fans pump up the atmosphere we will do this There's only 3 home games left in the league and we need to make sure Ibrox is bouncing in all 3. Tarriers game should look after itself anyway The away support will be knock it out the park as always Feeling optimistic
  7. It's not our handling of them, it's their handling of us that's the issue
  8. Two different things there... The daft goals are definitely on us, the ridiculous decisions are outwit our control and have cost us points
  9. If anything there's a chance we could get a slight benefit by getting a third home game and them getting a third away. As the top 6 stands right now we would be due to be away to them, Hearts, Hibs and Livi and home to Ross C and they would be the opposite. Dude seemed to indicate earlier that Hearts would be the fixture that would change. Lots of permutations still for 4th to 6th mind you. If the 3 places were taken by 3 from Hibs, Aberdeen, Motherwell or Livi (definitely not impossible) then we would be due to be away to all 5 post split and will get 2 of them at home for a third time
  10. Or getting some very helpful decisions going your way like offside winners and late, late winners while the opposite happens to your only rival We are where we are but there's no doubt that they've had some good fortune along the way. Like I said I hope it evens itself out (not sure there's actually enough games left to fully achieve that) but I wouldn't hold my breath Even yesterday they found themselves 2-0 up in 47 minutes when it should still have been 0-0 if the officials do their job right - "making their own luck" or benefitting from poor decisions?
  11. I'd argue that they've had more than their fair share of luck these past few months tbh
  12. This is the first proper title race since 2011, the past 10 seasons have seen the winners pretty much coast to the title. They had to work harder to manipulate the vote for 8.75 than they did for any of their previous 8. My point is that none of the current squads have experienced the pressure that will be present in the next 8 games. There's a world of difference between coasting to the inevitable versus the intensity that's coming now. Both teams are capable of putting together 8 game winning streaks (or 10 as it would be given we're both on 2 already). My guess is we will both drop points, probably when least expected. If "the breaks" even themselves out we should have a few bits of "luck" due and their luck should run out - I wouldn't hold my breath though. The only way we're going to win this is by eliminating the influence of officials by playing at our best and finding a killer touch. Ironically over our past 4 games our best 2 performances (Dundee United and Motherwell) have seen us drop points and our 2 poor performances have brought full points. Give me 8 ugly wins all day long, lots of football to play, lots of twists and turns to come. As fans we have a huge role to play in backing the team and I'm sure we will. My one hope is that it's decided by good/bad play and not by incompetent (or otherwise) officials. They've already made too much of a difference this season
  13. From all PR material from Oz, the language, the Ange's homecoming, the order of announcements (us last) etc, etc you can be absolutely certain that this is being organised by tarriers for tarriers. They must be pissing themselves laughing at this Their board have treated our board like village idiots for years and we've wasted our breath trying to build bridges while they fire snide shite at us at every opportunity. We're turning into the daft cunt that carries the school bully's bag up the road thinking he's their pal Embarrassing day
  14. Sent this to Robertson. First time I've felt inclined to contact anyone at Ibrox, completely disillusioned tbh Hi Stewart I have been a season ticket holder for 45 years and would consider myself a loyal supporter. Throughout the past decade my support has been even more passionate than before, I believe. I backed the merchandise boycott that helped to bring about the regime change that has allowed us to steadily work our way back to the top of Scottish football and re-establish our credibility on the European stage. The financial support and hard work of the current custodians has been incredible and I am truly grateful for that. Over this period, in my opinion, the relationship between our club and our greatest rivals has deteriorated to a stage where it is essentially non-existent. There once existed a “mutual respect” at all levels between the clubs but that has completely disappeared in recent years driven, in my view, by their club at all levels. Even their permanent strap-line “One Club since 1888” is a deliberate snide dig (one of many) playing to the gallery. They have publicly proclaimed that they are “not half of anything” a sentiment that is echoed unanimously by our support and theirs. IF ONE THING UNITES THE TWO SETS OF FANS IT IS THE AGREEMENT THAT WE ARE OUR OWN CLUBS AND NOT PART OF ANY PARTNERSHIP - WE ARE RIVALS AND ENEMIES NOT FRIENDS OR PARTNERS We have returned to where we are by single-mindedly focussing on ourselves and our challenges. This approach has served us well. To get to this point and jump into bed with that lot for a friendly on the other side of the world, immediately launched as “Ange’s homecoming tour” is a PR disaster and confirms that people in senior roles at our club are seriously out of touch with the vast majority of our fans. At every level this is a ridiculous decision by the club. Moreover, in light of developments in recent days, any joint initiatives or partnerships with their brand runs the risk of our club being tarnished by association with a club that is in real danger of suffering unprecedented reputitional damage. I feel confident that if you asked 50,000 Rangers fans to make a one-off donation of £20 to offset the income generated by this farce (£30 if need be) then you would earn more, gain more support and avoid any negative association than the damage this nonsense will do. In a week where we kick off our 150 year celebrations this decision should, in my opinion, be reviewed and revised immediately. I will renew my season ticket because no amount of poor decisions will stop me watching my team, however it is my birthday on Monday and my daughter has pre-ordered the legends shirt (my first football top for a long, long time) and I have asked her to cancel this. I was going to buy the 150 whisky, I now won’t. In the past year I have spent around £1,000 on merchandise on top of 2 season tickets, that spend will stop. I love my club and know this will hurt us financially but the price of our reputation and self worth is much greater than a few tainted dollars earned by tagging along to “Ange’s homecoming” in the sun. I hope common sense prevails. Your in disappointment
  15. We must make sure that the cost of playing in this fuckin circus far outweighs any money lost by doing so
  16. Been a season ticket holder for 44 years and will struggle to renew if this goes ahead. Fans group statements stating we will buy no merchandise etc should be out by close of play today. Money is the only reason so lets make them realise that they will lose more than they gain (and sooner) if they follow through with this shite Never been so embarrassed with our club, basically prepared to be a sideshow in a southern hemisphere Tim fest for a couple of dollars
  17. Said on another thread that imo he is now our biggest asset Power, pace, skill and above all ATTITUDE We should be bumping his wages up by £10k per week and adding 2/3 years to his contract NOW He's got 2 years left but by this time next year he'll be where Aribo, Morelos and Kent are currently. We need to stop losing value on our biggest assets by allowing contracts to run down
  18. For me big Calvin is rapidly becoming our most valuable asset.
  19. After our 2-2 with the sheep we were on 9 from 9 and on course for 11 from 11 in the second phase of fixtures For Pittodrie we would have had Aribo and Arfield and they would have been without Brown For the piggery we would have had Morelos (we've seen how crucial he is to us) and they would have over half the team that played us in Feb unavailable We were told that playing without fans was "just not feasible" - and then 3 days later guess what happened - we played without fans The early shut down was hugely beneficial for them and killed our momentum - a massive influence on a £30m season Pittodrie was a shambles where our tactics were wrong and we were fortunate to take a point Ross C was a shambles for McGregor and a match we should have won comfortably Piggery was a shambles from start to finish Yesterday was a combination of dreadful refereeing and equally poor finishing but if we had won 5-1 they couldn't have grumbled Since the piggery our intensity and tactics have been spot on and if we maintain this we can win all 11 remaining games imo They've had some very fortunate breaks and a few helpful decisions that have won them points Yesterday we witnessed (not for the first time) Madden almost terrified to give us any big decisions, a result of a concerted campaign from their mhedia poodles This won't be easy but, with the same intensity and play we will prevail No surrender
  20. Agreed on the fan distribution 100% The fact that their lapdogs like Hartson and Sutton are pushing the club line (as always) that we need to "grow up" and go back to how it was emphasises how much of an advantage they had when we were papped in a corner while they had the full end. Under SPFL rules we must give an away allocation (Covid permitting) so no tickets is off the table. Personally I would give them a few as possible and maximise the number of bears I get the bears who want to go to the away fixture but when that results in an advantage for them it's a no from me
  21. They won't be giving a fuck as long as we don't win the league. Cunts to a man
