But a Rangers spokesman has hit back at Ms Aitken.
Asked about the and the “reprehensible” remark and the suggestion staff could be risking stirring up hatred, the spokesman said: “It’s utter nonsense. There is no evidence for her to say that.
“Rangers employees did not take to social media. Period. She’s wrong.”
He added that Mr Morrison was not a staff member, but does do work for Rangers.
And the spokesman said Ms Aitken had failed to answer a series of questions on the issue.
He said the SFA had hosted a fanzone at the same spot ahead of a Scotland Euro qualifier in 2014.
The spokesman added: “Where is the difference with the SFA and a member club?
Was due process followed? We still don’t know.
“Why was the community council given information that was clearly skewed and a misrepresentation of reality? The facilities we are talking about – the main tenants is Rangers. Rangers pays a hefty rate each year – it keeps the facility alive for the good and benefit of the local community, especially the kids.
“Why on earth would Rangers want to jeopardise that? The community council did not receive this information.”
