Maybe Gio should take them to Dubai. It could work the opposite way this time.

Get Katic back…we need a decent centre back
-
Itten got one game this season….Malmö away ….after he had a good pre season and had scored goals. last season he was mostly given the odd 10 and 15 minutes at the end of games apart from start of season when played with Roofe where we had good results. Now he is playing and scoring for one of the best International teams in Europe. Switzerland could do well in WC and his valuation will shoot up. Let’s get him back in Jan. He offers something different to our other strikers.
-
Gio has proven that he can win trophies in an arguably more difficult league and is of course an explayer of some note. Apart from a handful of games we have not performed well this season. Players ,including established ones, will have to up their act to impress the new manager.

Can we afford Gio and all his Dutch team. It’s a big risk as well as we don’t know how it will turn out. They will want money approaching what Gerrard and his team was on and this is a lot for a team playing in SPL. McInnes would be a lot cheaper and there would be no problem with work permits etc. Sure McInnes is a risk but he might turn out well.

Scores a few goals for us in h2 and then has a good wc he could be worth than 10m. Switzerland are a good side and could have a good run in wc.
-
He never got a proper run. He had a good pre-season and then got one game away against Malmö where the rest of the team didn’t turn up. I expect he will be back. He is a striker for one of the top international teams in Europe and proving he can score goals in the German league for one of the weaker teams. His valuation if he has a good World Cup could be a lot more. We must have him back and playing.

I’d go for GVB or Lampard and will be pleased if either is appointed. It’s good we have some decent candidates.

4.5m is ok but thought it would be more…..bearing in mind he had a contract till 2024 and is taking everyone. I think he might struggle at Villa….why??….everyone else has recently….it’s always been a mid table/relegation club apart from the brief period when they won EC but that’s 40 years ago. -
McInnes had his chance before and turned it down….He would certainly accept the job now though.
-
At this stage it needs to be someone with a good knowledge of our club and where we are at this stage of a very important season. We have been left in the lurch with some very important games coming up.
-
Caretaker that knows the club inside out…..no knee-jerk reaction please that will end up costing us a load of money.

Daily Mail saying 2.5 million compensation…..they cannot be serious for Gerrard with a contract to 2024 and all his back room team leaving us in the lurch with some of the most important games of the season coming up. -

What we shouldn’t do is have a knee-jerk reaction and appoint someone with a less than perfect track record a huge fat contract. A better idea would be to give Ally a chance till the end of the season. He knows where we are as a club and what this season means to us. He is aware of all the current players and strengths/weaknesses etc and the tactics we have been using. He lives locally so there would be no settling in period etc etc. This in my view is the best chance to get something out this season. Bringing someone in now with no knowledge of the club and the type of games you have to play would be a huge risk. Ally got a lot of stick before but he was working with a fraction of the money Gerrard got with a team that had come up from 4th tier and was up against a very strong celtic team under Rodgers. -

I hope we are getting plenty compensation. Gattuso/Barry dream team for me. Gerrard might struggle at Villa as most other managers have done. It’s a bit of a revolving door but I don’t blame him for going. He can up his salary and commute home every night. -

Villa can pay him a lot more and have a transfer budget that is much more than ours. It’s a difficult job though because of the expectations and the increased completion from clubs with even bigger transfer budgets. -

you can understand him being interested, he can up his salary and commute home every night…………if he does go give Ally to end of the season.
