Games against Malmö?…..

After Motherwell it was a disappointment but how much experience does he have playing away from home in Europe. He should start next game in the SPL though.

Hagi showed his class last night at this level(away game in Europe).

We are against a poor side but we look worse. Miss passes and when we did have a break on Sakala ran with the ball straight out. How we ever thought we were going to play in the champions league. At this rate we will be lucky to make the Europa Conf.

We need to sign a big striker to play alongside Roofe as an alternative to Alfie with Sakala/Wright etc so we can change things up during a game if not firing. Itten and Roofe played well together at the start of last season.

Don’t think the Morelos and Roofe up front works. Morelos had a good first half last night although should have scored with the header although we got the goal from it. Second half he was back to his Hearts performance. He plays better with players with pace in the side and on his own as front man. Sakala came on for Alfie and missed a couple of really good chances. Apart from his goal Roofe couldn’t get into the game.I think Roofe looked better with Itten when we played with that at the start of last season. Roofe will get goals and is a natural finisher like Defoe but you have to create chances for him. We have a striking problem just now and if Itten is on his way out we need to sign a big man up front to give us an alternative approach to change things up when needed.

I hope we get the win but win with a bit of style that’s been lacking this season. I would like to see Alfie get a goal(or two).

I think his touch and contribution are still ok but he is missing a lot of good chances just now, especially against Hearts and Alaskert away. We could have won these games if he had knocked a couple in.

Both Alf and Tav are off form and need a few weeks on the bench. Perfect time to give Paterson and Roofe the jerseys and let them get on with it. Alf and Tav can come back in when they show it from the bench. Itten shouldn’t have been sent out on loan. He never got a proper run of games. Now would be his chance. We should have also signed Dykes. A big man up front that gets on the end of crosses and could have been played in two up front with Roofe/Defoe. Perfect for SPL.

Maybe howler but he kept us in the lead for a long time with some good saves. If the boys at the other end had done their job we would have been well ahead by that time.

What was the point in giving Defoe a new contract. Don’t say it was as a training role only. We should start playing him.

Get big Cedric back. Scoring in German league and playing for one of the highest ranked international teams. He was given one game this season and then loaned out-Malmö away when the rest of the team didn’t turn up. He had performed well pre-season and was scoring.

Aribo is our best player just now. He is direct and shows plenty energy and creates good chances. Tav and Alf need some bench time. McGregor made a mistake but he kept us ahead for a long time and made some great saves Get Itten back….scoring in German league and playing for one of the highest ranked international teams in Europe. Dropped and loaned out after one game(Malmö away) when the rest of the team didn’t turn up.

We need it as it is a shop window for our players.

Balogun and McGregor our only good players tonight. Alfie improved things a bit when he came on and Tav came alive for the last 5 minutes. That was about it.

We don’t find space or runs forward players are making. Constantly play it around in triangles until it gets crowded out by opposition players and we lose possession or pass it back to keeper. Too many misplaced passes and too many needless passes rather than carrying the ball forward into space.

I wonder how we would have got in the CL this season in place of Malmö who are not doing too well

It’s battle on with Brondby for the Conference place but they will beat us unless we can step it up.
