He did well last night.He looks more robust than last season and played with guts and determination as well as the skill we know he has in bundles. Our only player that is playing better than last season….along with Calvin.

At some times last night we have 3 or 4 players all within a distance of a few feet playing passes to each other while retreating backwards up the pitch and then either losing possession or hitting a pass back to our centre backs.

It has everything to do with winning 55. After that we had the tame surrender to Slavia at Ibrox and then the St Johnstone cup result. We did have a couple of good results at the tail end of the season against teams that had already thrown in the towel. This season is a follow up to the post celebration form.The loss to Tranmere was a warning of things to come for this season and the win against a Real Madrid reserve side merely disguised the fact that we were struggling. The performance last night was even worse than the performances against Malmö. The worse performance however was against Dundee Utd.

He is struggling and it’s maybe a bit of a shock to him after being a regular in the Premier league. He needs to up his game.

Did really well in the first 30 minutes and showed energy and physical presence throughout the whole game. He is improving and some of his crosses are now ok.

Hagi man of the match by a mile. Laid on two sitters for Kent and Alfie who both should have scored. He showed a lot of guts and energy with a fair bit of skill throughout the whole game.

Don’t think he has had a fair chance. He did well pre-season. The only game he has played in competitions this season has been away to Malmö and the whole team performed badly. We created nothing and he had no chance as a striker. He is a Swiss international and had a fair strike rate before he joined us. He needs a run of games and should have played against Dunfermline. We all know already that Roofe can do the business if given chances.

We should be signing more players from Nordic/Balkan leagues….if Alfie had been in England we would have never got him. Players playing in England have inflated values because of the EPL money etc. We should be selling players to England not buying them.

You need more than one player.

We have been rotten since we won the league apart from a couple of meaningless wins against teams that had thrown in the towel at the tail end of last season. Since we confirmed the 55 we have been put out of 3 cups,lost to DU and lost to Tranmere Rovers.

We needed to freshen up the team. More players that have not made an impact should have been moved on and a couple of landmark signings made. I think we were waiting for the CL money but it’s now too late. We need a new midfield player (Lewis Ferguson would be my choice)who can make an impact and a more robust bigger striker that can give an alternative up front. Patterson and Bassey now deserve more game time. Katic deserves another chance now he has put on more muscle. Sadly I can now see AM and GK leaving for discount prices. Maybe CG also. We must as a minimum now qualify for Europa group stages in order to shore up our income.

Tav was in great position just outside their box on two occasions and the ball didn’t come to him instead it was passed back or sideways into congestion.

Give him the odd 20 minutes when we are well ahead to see if he is any good and can hack the SPL. He has to earn his place. He can work on his fitness at Auchenhowie. I don’t remember Zungu going straight into the first team and

Only players getting pass marks so far are Davis, Hagi and Helander.

Give Lundstram some time but meantime he should be benched till he is up to speed.

It’s not looking good. We don’t look like scoring. We need to get stuck in and play it like a cup final . I just hope they are practising penalties and………free kicks(so far they have been too soft or not on target/hit the wall). Crossing also should be practised as so far this season it’s been rubbish.

I like McLaughlin but I think McGregor would have stopped their goal.

We don’t look like scoring…..and you can’t win games when that is the case. Malmö will fancy their chances on Tuesday night.

We showed in phases of the game that we can dominate them. If we can get through Olympus will be a bigger challenge.

It was only Itten. Only players to get pass marks were Tav,Helander, Wright and Davis. Helander was our best player on the night.

Forget how many goals we just need to come off the pitch winners even if that is by penalties. Ie we don’t need two goals to win this match

Give him 45 minutes at the weekend and see how it goes. If ok start him against Malmö if not keep him on the bench against Malmö and bring him on for the last 20 minutes if needed.

No away goals bull ……we win next week and we are through……even if that is by penalties

Just need to win to come off the pitch as winners next week forget how many goals we need. The gaffer is right though….some of the team need to step up their performance.

Get Alfie in next week
