sairdy 0
THE SPL have tonight announced changes to five Rangers fixtures in the early part of the league campaign for live coverage on Sky Sports and ESPN. Four are simply kick-off changes but the first Old Firm game of the season has been moved to Sunday, October 4 from the previous day and the Ibrox clash will kick off at 12.30pm. The season opener at Ibrox on August 15 against Falkirk when the flag will be unfurled has not been selected for live TV coverage and will be played at 3pm as normal. The Hearts match at Tynecastle on August 23 is now going ahead at 12.45pm on Sky Sports while the game at Motherwell on September 12 is now 12.15pm on the same channel. Rangers' trip to Kilmarnock on September 19 is now 12.30pm on ESPN while the match with promoted St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on October 17 is also a 12.30pm kick-off on ESPN. The SPL have advised that further TV scheduling will take place after the European draws at the end of August. Source.

908 14
For the last 5 seasons, the champions (in fact both old firm clubs) first league matches have all been live, on Setanta. Indeed last season IIRC they had 3 SPL games live the first weekend. ESPN/sky Cartel have still got 60 matches to show, the same as Setanta did. That should be 1 live match on each channel, each week. No excuses for either channel showing no matches on the first weekend of the season. Unless they are showing the bheggars and another match before they'd show us!! But Setanta were shit, right..?
