MarzM 1,259
calm it lads, we're talking about one of 'the big four' here. for 80 minutes we did ok. its a meaningless pre-season tourney. at least we got a taste of what the sharp end of europe will throw at us and we'll come prepared next timd. True. I'm sure they will be in the last 8 if not 4 of the champions league!
SUPERCOOPER 115
i hope celtic are as bad as last year. otherwise we are fcuked. that team is bloody useless. a disgrace in fact Fuck off back to Kerrydale Street. Can we ban him? This has child molestor written all over it. I'm with you on this Papa
delparlane 5,753
Everytime we wanted to get the ball forward, we went over the top. Rarely worked out, with the players we have youd think theyd be smart enough to change it up. Papac and Whittaker were the worst for this. Keep the fucking Ball ! We did it yesterday, but seem to have forgotten all about it in 24 hours. 'Course, leaking 2 early goals did no good what-so-ever.
chris_glasgow 2
Like Keith, the Gooners are my 2nd team. Now I hope people see why I used the so much when people were claiming that this Arsenal side 'weren't that good'. Here's another for good measure! Can i add a ? Bluepeter9 5,167
I'm slightly worried by how clueless we can look going forward at times. In saying that, some of our attacking early in the 2nd half was brilliant. Whittaker got absolutely owned though Funny that now of the goals come for a mistake by Whittaker or his side. 1st goal from the left and 3rd a mistake by Bougherra and 2nd down the middle - how were the goals Whittakers fault ? He looked VERY unfit. He got no help from anyone tracking back. I thought Papac's positioning was poor especially in the first half when the damage was done leave papac alone! its mcgregor to blame, first goal you can stretch mate. second goal didnt come out kick enough. a player like eduardo who has had horrible injuries would duck out of the challenge. but credit when its due, arsenal are probably the top footballing side in the world Papac's positioning was shite and i'm not the only one to say it.Arsenal are the better team without a doubt but when you don't come back to cover a team like that will punish you . The number of times Rangers (esp Papac) make little or no attempt to stop a cross coming in! He always stands at least 8 yards from the crosser. He should get a little closer and try to block the ball. He let a few come in against PSG yesterday too!
Zappa 358
After his great start to pre-season, I was quite sad to see Naismith playing as deep at Papac for long periods of that 2nd half The whole team were playing deep. It was the old camp in our own half & hit on the break tactic & almost payed off once or twice tbh. I thought we only pressed them enough on the ball for a short period though & most of the game just gave them acres of space in comparison to what they were giving us. Good game though & good experience for Naisy.

We don't seem interested in closing down anyone until they're 40 yards from our goal.

Good game though & good experience for Naisy. Well lets face it. Arsnal are better than us. Naisy was good. I hope he gets a run this year. If Wattie is going to play the 4-5-1/ 4-3-3 he would be good on the left or the right. Probably better on the left as Papac wont overlap while Davis would be good on the right as Whittaker/ broadfoot will!
papaguy51 912
Naismith is definitely faster, fitter and stronger than I've ever seen him before. He's a starter for me.

Hopefully when we get totally fit this will get better.

ronniemca 479
you can't play against young fit class players like arsenal with a 39 year old centre half who has no mobility. if rangers don,t sign a ch we are in for a disasterous season particularly in europe where players are so much sharper
MaD CoW 3
Another thing I notice was how little pace there is in our team. I'll post it in hear in case Boab gets his boxers in a twist.
