RangersAndy 0
I think he should definately be sketched into the history books as a good player who gave his all and helped deliver a degree of success towards the end of his career. A role model to those younger players when it comes to conditioning and attitude

*Manticore* 1,893
I would normally say no for such a short Ibrox career, but he played such a significant role in turning round the Club following the le Guen debacle that I went for yes. As has been said a perfect gent and role model, he is a Rangers Captain and acts like one. A worthy successor to the likes of George Young, Bobby Shearer and Richard Gough to name but a few. Tumshie 205
Great ambassador for the club - YES Hall of fame - NO The HOF should only be for the very top players we have had through the years such as Greig, McCoist, Gough etc. The word legend is banded around a lot at the moment. Players who have done well for us such as Davie Weir, Dado Prso and even wee Nacho shouldn't get in it because they have played for us for 3 or 4 seasons

welsh103 12
Would love him to be on it. If only he had come to us 2 or 3 years before he did. But if you put in Davie Weir then surely Novo, Boyd, Prso and Papac are in with a shout? Ok, maybe not Papac. but he has achieved just as much and conducted himself just as well as Weir. BlueSuedeSambas 54,488
You could argue a point for Novo, but at this moment in time Weir is the only player in our squad who merits a place in the hall of fame. The length of service is almost irrelevant, because it's what you achieve during your time that defines you. Weir has conducted himself with class and dignity and his performances on the park have been so vital in terms of turning our fortunes around. It might seem like a bit of an exageration, but Weir is almost to Smith, what Butcher was to Souness.

Just think we are too quick to say someone is a legend after 2 or 3 seasons. However if weir has another exceptional season I may be convinced. Otis 1
Weir has been a great player and model pro/captain since he joined the club. He helped in no small part to turn around the club after the LEGuen debacle and has never let us down. I'd wait until the end of this season before making any decisions as the only blip i see is his short spell here but i'm not sure if that should hamper his hall of fame entry or not. That accolade has to be earned over time. So should Gazza and WIlkins both be removed from the hall of fame? After all they were only here for a combined five years between them? What about Souness? I know what he did in terms of restoring Rangers to their place as number 1, but as a player he was a guy who made less than 100 apperances for us during that time. Or even Butcher. The backbone of the Souness revolution.A Ranger for 4 years, playing 176 games and winning five honours in that time. On the other hand look what Weir has achieved. The backbone of the Smith revolution. A Ranger for 30 months (so far), playing 124 games and winning four honours in that time. If you lay it out like that then there really isn't much between them. IMO it seems that people are (generally) overlooking Weir's contribution because he isn't a really glamourous name and thats doing the guy an injustice. Creampuff 22,628
I think he should, because really without his signing, Rangers would have been lucky to get a top half finish the Le Guen year
