At/around the same time as RFC signed D Smith from Aberdeen they also signed A Smith from D'fermiline.

D Smith was the better signing, but A Smith was not bad just pretty average, but I never saw any player go so red in the face after exertion as A Smith.

Does any old bear remember him?

didwe sell him on to aberdeen for about 25 grand and he always looked knackered.

A Smith yes late 60's is correct I believe - as for top scorer I do not know but would be very surprised although he did play inside right from memory.

I do not know but my guess is it was far more likely to be SAF than A Smith.
