Boab 73
He was far more happy to discuss the stunning form of keeper Allan McGregor who saved Rangers from a far more savage beating with a string of stunning saves. Smith said:"Towards the end of the game it was typical when you lose your discipline and try to open up a bit. That left us a bit exposed at the back but if there's a better goalkeeper around than Allan McGregor then I've yet to see him. "It's the one thing we have got on a regular basis - an exceptionally good goalie." http://www.<No links to this website>/football/spl/...86908-21848468/
Jimbo. 952
. ....if there's a better goalkeeper around than Allan McGregor then I've yet to see him. What a fantastic quote. Well deserved.
Briton 394
Saved us from a 4 or 5-0 last night. A very good keeper. If he could stop getting bullied in the six yard box he could be a great.

BillyBoy11 63
Hes been great since he came back in, and the double save was class. But it was nothing compared to Bremen that save was out of this world. Last night the guy more or less hit it at him

Did he not flatten that Sasquatch impersonator Kevin Kyle on Saturday? I think bullied might not be the right word...I'm not suggesting he's not brave. He just seems to get fouled/pushed around a lot but not get a free kick that others would. I've noticed it on lots of occasions. Small criticism though as he's saved us from even greater humiliation. In fact he may even have saved Smith's job last night. Even he may have walked had we taken the beating we could have done.
macka1990 0
Fantastic save last night, but doesnt compare to the werder save which is up i the top 5 saves of all time maybe ? atleast that i have seen . As for best in Britain maybe not but i would say he is safely the best 'british' keeper ?

Shay Given was peerless for a few years while Newcastle were a mid-table club leaking goals every week.

RobertN 393
It may not tell the whole story but it tells you the bottom line no other team in the champions league has a goals conceded home record like that how people think he is exempt from blame for pulling off a couple of Hollywood saves when the game is done and dusted is bollocks

You can't judge a goalkeeper from his "goals against" tally alone. What if you put Tokely, Scheidt, Bernard and Konterman in a back 4 in front of Buffon? Would he be a bad keeper if he shipped 5 in that match? Actually I'd like to see that.

That goal record doesnt do McGregor justice, and you know it.
BlueIsTheColour 35
Terrific performance by McGregor last night, one of the best European displays by any Rangers player in recent years. Saved his defenders from real embarrassment. Take not whoever the next Scotland manager is; McGregor is Scotland's No1.

Orangeclement 578
shame the 2nd effort was about a yard and a half offside yet the linesman didnt see this even though he was in line with play and had no one in his line of vision.
