TerryTibbs 224
With the January transfer window approaching, how much would you value some of our key players? Bare in mind some of the ludicrous values Celtic players have been valued in the past (Brown to Man City - 15m) Bougherra - 6 mill Boyd - 5/6 mill (if he signs a new contract) Mendes - 3 mill Davis - 5 mill Thoughts? Thats the reason the countries fucked, bankers logic. End of the day players are only worth what teams are willing to pay. Our financial situation isn't exactly a secret either, so.... Bain did basically say failure to be in the champions league next year would mean sales. So if we don't win the league this year, we're not holding the cards when it comes to selling players. I'd think if we sold all our squad we'd raise somewhere between £25-£35m. It's hard to judge with some players. Infact Danny Wilson isn't worth £1m, he's worth £50k. Forgot he's out of contract too. The Danny Wilson situation could turn out even worse than Boyds, i would have thought the coaching staff would have seen a top quality player with the right attitude in the making and tied him down to a long term deal before he even had a sniff of first team football, that would have cost us peanuts, imagine a player that could eventually go for a Hutton type fee, walking for 50k ish, fuckin mental. Aye and Hemdani would be worth anything between 10-12m if you read some of the guff on here last night.
