7 Clubs in for Boyd

KRIS BOYD last night revealed SEVEN clubs are chasing his signature as he edges closer to the Ibrox exit door.

The Rangers striker is available on a Bosman and Record Sport understands top Turkish sides Bursaspor and Ankaragucu have tabled three-year contracts worth a staggering total of £6million in wages.

But the list of outfits who want Boyd doesn't end there because as well as long-standing interest from Birmingham and Middlesbrough, the hitman is also waiting for offers from Wolves, Wigan and Newcastle.

It has left the Ibrox idol with plenty to chew over as he admits he faces the toughest decision of his life.

Boyd said: "There is a lot for me to think about. This is an important stage in my career and my life.

"I'm going away on holiday with my family next week and we will discuss our options.

"I do have offers from the Continent to consider and playing abroad is something that appeals to me.

"I will give everything careful consideration and hopefully can reach a decision during the next three weeks."

Four Premiership clubs are ready to up the ante in their bid to land Boyd - and three of them have promised to make him an offer over the next few days.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy was keen to sign Portsmouth's Fred Piquionne but that looks doomed to failure so the former Celtic defender has turned to Boyd.

Budget Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has long admired the 25-year-old and is right now putting together a package.

Newcastle will table Boyd a deal once boss Chris Hughton has established his budget with owner Mike Ashley.

Rangers want to keep Boyd but they can't offer anything close to what's on the table elsewhere.

its all about the benjamins these days.

If our future was sorted I am sure Boyd would be staying and given the contract he desires, but until that I think Boyd like a few others will be for the off.

I'm a massive Kris Boyd fan but I have to admit I'm getting fucking hacked off with his silence over his future and it is a silence although I'm not sure about the £18,000 contract thats on the table and waiting for him to sign Rangers might have offered him the contract but the bank run Rangers and I doubt with the state the club is in they'd agree to offer him that sort of money, the most important man at Rangers uncle Walter has been offered fuck all and yet Boyd gets offered an £18,000 contract sorry but I dont believe it I just wish he would come out and give us some honesty or an idea what he's going to do because if he fucks the fans about he'll go from hero to zero. :uk:

Rangers striker Kris Boyd, who is out of contract this summer, says that seven clubs are chasing his signature. He has the chance to move to England with Birmingham, Wolves, Wigan, Newcastle or Middlesbrough or to Turkey with Bursaspor or Ankaragucu. (Daily Record)

I wouldnt pick any of those teams over Rangers.

He's in it for the money

lets face it, if he wants to take a step down (and every club mentioned is a step down from rangers) and swap trophies for money, then let him go. i've got no problem with that. i only want people who have a hunger for winning titles at my club. his attitude has been stinking in the last 4 months of the season. walter had him mostly on the bench, just showing him how his life will be should he move to england.

As a self-proclaimed Rangers man, I would have thought that he would have signed a new contract already, if it wasn't about money.

same can be said about Novo, but the difference is more people are putting the blame on the club for letting him go.

if this is true then its either The Rangers, Brum or Newcastle IMO.

I dont think there's any chance of him going to Birmingham Stu dont know if you saw the interview on sky with big eck when he was asked if he'd be happy with a 3 year contract to continue managing Birmingham his arse nearly hit the ground which says to me a years rolling contract would be his preference as I think he's looking for a bigger club to manage after doing well with Birmingham this season and I'm not saying he'd get one but my point is why would you want to go to a club were the manager MIGHT not be there in a seasons time, still think if he's going anywhere and if its true that Newcastle are interested thats were he'll end up but I have to admit with some fellow bears all this leaving or staying is getting fucking boring. :uk:
