Team spirit is not something that can be purchased and it takes a special type of person/coach to instill it into a group. We have it and it will go a long way to retaining the title. A better example would be Manchester City, where a lack of chemistry between players was responsible for them dropping at least 12 points against inferior opposition. The spirit and coordination between players here at Rangers has masked a certain lack of depth and quality in key positions. How many games did we win or draw last season where the run of play was against us much of the game? Only in the Champions League were our squad deficiencies brutally exposed.A good comparaison as well would be Celtic, where they are spending a fair bit (almost 10 million pounds so far) without any real playing combinations emerging. It may be early, but their loss to Braga was very convincing as to the lack of a solid spine and partnerships in key areas. We may very well win the SPL on the basis of a spine of McGregor in goal, Weir-Bougherra at the core of defence, Edu-Davis at the core of midfield and Miller and Lafferty forming a solid strike partnership.
