never broke a finger have you

some broken fingers require casts to be placed right up the arm to stop the finger bone from moving and allowing time to heal

plus if it isnt secure, even a bang from a 50/50 tackle could damage tendons and ligaments worse because the bone hasnt set and repaird correctly

and what top flight professional football team did you play for at the time

relax FFS i was just thinking it seems like a long time to be out of action given our injury situation just now. With todays medical technology I would have thought they could immobilize his finger well enough to play. And i actually played semi pro Hockey in Canada and they don;t make them any tougher than Canadian hockey players.

From what Ive heard from my source, he tried to jump over gregg wylde whilst coming out of the team bus, gregg ducked and laff fell and stopped himself with his hand, twisting his finger/knuckle round the wrong way in the process.

Twat.

My brother received the same injury as ascribed to Kyle, he was riding in the Tour of Lombardy, when he was involved in a pile up on a mountain descent at about 45kph. He was back on his machine in moments, he was splinted at the end of the stage and soon after fitted with a plastic cast, which looks like a mitt with a finger for the damaged digit. He has not lost a days training or racing since it happened. It is very hard to believe that Kyle got that sort of damage by falling while disembarking a bus, very hard indeed.

it said in a report I saw that he had broken it in 2 places. If he has a cast he probably won't be allowed to play but I should imagine he will still be able to do some training.

He shouldn't have been picking his bloody nose at the same time

Irrespective of similar injuries they can prevent a sportsperson in different ways depending on the types of sports they do and as none of us can actually turn round and say exactly what the type or severity of the injury might be, and even though it is a broken finger we don't know if it affected the nerves in any way which could affect the whole arm.

Apart from that I hope the idiot, and yes I do mean that, he admits it himself is back playing as soon as possible, and by all accounts Walter was pretty angry with him because of his stupidity so at least he knows how much of a plonker he has been.

I thought this would already have been posted

KYLE LAFFERTY last night branded himself a CLOWN and confessed he has let down Rangers boss Walter Smith again.

Lafferty is facing six weeks on the sidelines after breaking a finger in his left hand.

The Northern Ireland star suffered the freak injury during horseplay with team-mate Gregg Wylde at Murray Park.

He said: "I was messing about while coming off the bus last Wednesday morning.

"I fell and fractured my wedding finger in two different places.

"Walter Smith didn't say anything at first, but I knew he was furious.

"We were already down to the bare bones for the Manchester United game.

"I don't know if I was starting against United, but I'd like to think I would have been because we were struggling for numbers.

"Walter had to go out and give a team-talk to the players who were featuring.

"I apologised to him at the game and just said my stupidity had left me looking like a clown - and given him a bigger headache."

Lafferty would have started against United.

But livid boss Smith - already without FIVE established stars - was forced instead to pitch in rookie kid Kyle Hutton.

Smith was still so angry last Friday he made it clear he didn't want anyone mentioning what happened 'within earshot' of him.

Lafferty - struggling to be fit for the January 2 derby against Celtic - added: "Because of my messing about I'm facing the possibility of a decent period out of the team.

"But that's my punishment and I've got to accept it. I'm p****d off with myself.

"It was wrong for me to be messing about on the day of the game."

Lafferty could miss up to eight SPL and European games unless his injury heals quicker.

The clown will never grow up - the sooner we get shot of him, the better.

While I'm at it, he should be told to stop posting on twitter. Let the football do the talking...
