Inverness game ON...!

An operation to clear the snow from the pitch is underway as Caley Thistle confidence grows that Saturday's game with Rangers will go on as scheduled at Inverness.

Kenny Cameron, the club's operations director, said on Thursday morning:"We've decided to remove the snow off the playing surface today because if we let it melt, the pitch might be to sodden. So staff and volunteers started work at 9 am and the snow will be off today.

"There is now no reason to postpone the fixture and everyone's looking forward to us getting back into action against the SPL champions. The match is on Sky TV and Sky personnel arrived at the stadium today and say there is no problem with the A9, so everything's good to go -- though it'll be a bit cooler than Turkey for the Rangers team!

"There are still home tickets available from the stadium -- indeed, we've had people who've travelled from Skye in to make sure of their briefs."

The news was a boost for manager Terry Butcher and his players, desperate to resume after last week's postponement.

Great that's it's going ahead.

Surprising that we can go all the way up there but Killy can't make it to porkheid.

Also tynecastle is falling apart and they can still hold a match?

Do timmy have injuries? Has someone died? What?

Agnes, the tea-lady at the Mecca bingo has chipped her nailpolish. Having once put a line on for her husband that included Celtic, Celtic FC have decided to postpone this weekend's match in memory of Agnes' late manicure. A source from the club said, 'It's whit ra manicyoor wid huv wanted, by ra way pal.' Rumours of Celtic booking 35+ tickets and hotel rooms in Japan are as of this stage, unconfirmed and are expected to remain so until Rangers get knocked out of the Europa League.
