If Birmingham go down - would you welcome Barry Ferguson back to Ibrox?

barry.jpg

I understand fully why some wouldn't want to see him in a Rangers jersey ever again - but for me he's still a great player.

He's one of us and he knows what Rangers are all about. It's a Yes from me.

By the way, I'm still celebrating 3IAR......."Every Day am Shuff-a-lin"

Birmingham wont go down...they have the luckiest manager to ever live!

Lucky to...

1. Get the Rangers job.

2. Win the scottish cup in 2002.

3. Win the league cup in 2003.

4. Win league on last day in 2003.

5. Win league on last day in 2005.

6. Get the Scotland job.

7. Get the Birmingham job.

8. Win the english league cup in 2011.

No doubt it will be a last day, last minute job from Mcleish today as well!

Dont want barry back, he wasn't the same player that left for Blackburn Rovers when he came back.

signs up and his only post is to have a go at a previous manager that worked under the worst constraints financially :shifty:

No, I think barrys playing well down south because of the reduced pressure of playing for a team like brum, less spotlight, not the Glasgow fish bowl etc etc

Plus he's too far on the wrong side of 30 now. As much as I like Barry, I don't think it would work for him up here this time.

Sebb Larson however is on a bosman in the summer iirc, now he'd be a gd shout if we could afford his wages

But when Sir Alex wins things last minute it is due to the incredible team spirit and work ethic that he has created...

I was stating he was lucky and how a lot of things he's won have been last minute, last day things!

I think Walter Smith has worked under harder constraints than Mcleish ever did.

No.

I can't remember him having any great games during 08/09. Then the Boozegate thing added more misery.

I honestly didn't see him as an important player that season. Mendes, Davis and Edu were the ones doing the business in midfield.

In fact had Thomson not suffered that injury then who knows how many games Ferguson would have played that year.

Well go & do some research. You will see that Mcleish hardly had a penny.

how can you say smith worked under harder constraints

mcleish's one big money buy was bringing ferguson back, and that only happened because we sold boumsong for an 8mill profit

everything else was bargain basement, look at the team that got to the last 16 of the champions league ffs

smith has done well under the financial constraints, but he had at least one season of splashing the cash this time, eck never had that at all

If your still celebrating 3IAR ponder that 3IAR started as he got his baws booted and lost his negative influence on the dressing room, we went from strength to strength when he left which I think is no coincedence. Thank god we found a captain worthy of that role.
