Craig Whyte On Ssn Shortly

Good interview. Spoke well, addressed the right things, and seemed very open.

That combined with the increased noises from the club about fighting anyone in the media who tries to have a go at us has me really optimistic about his reign.

All the nerves over the lack of signings thus far will evaporate as soon as we make our first signing, I suspect.

Am as patient as the next guy but the clock is ticking.

He's already given an interview on all of this earlier in the week so while I thank him for being open about his intentions, I'd much prefer to see tangible evidence of how he intends to improve our chances of success.

On the other hand, I do appreciate transfer deals are not always easy to complete and I'd certainly rather we took our time to ensure maximum value. However, we do need quality and quantity for the new season and it is only a month away. Not to mention the crucial CL qualifiers which I'm sure Whyte would like to see the bounty from.

As such, 6 months is perhaps a bit generous on your part when it comes to improving and supplementing the playing squad. ;)

I don't recall advocating "no action".

And given my figurative use of "five minutes" it could be reasonable to assume that my use of "six months" was similarly allegorical.

If you would rather I used neither, how about: "Gie the wee guy a chance, man."?

He said he expects to be new signings shortly they are in for a number of players for the right price and he is not going to throw daft money around easily (tu)

I'm loving Whyte every time he gets the chance to talk. It's looking like exciting times ahead.

Did SSN just say Villa are willing to sell Cuellar for £1.5m, or that Rangers have offered that amount?

someone's in a huff because they were caught lying yesterday.

If I had a clue what you were gibbering about I would give you a substantive reply. :disappointment:

To keep the thread on track, feel free to PM me and give me a clue.

Just back on again there, doesn't rule out a marquee signing. And expects whittaker, Davis and Shagger to be at ibrox next season. Jim white is in a virtual porno.

The man is a legend :praise: brilliant when him and Charlotte are on

We offered £1.5mil, they want £3mil.

I appreciate Rangers starting low and trying to meet any player evaluations in the middle but £3m is a good deal for someone of Cuellar's calibre.

Bargain imo. I'd have thought they'd have been after up to 3x that amount. I'm actually pretty excited and optimistic about the deal - considering I would never have dreamt of this 2 months ago. I'd bite there hand off at £3mil.
