RM Monitor And Standards Officer 112,910
Why do our players never ever have long range shots? 6 or 7 times today the ball fell perfectly to strike and instead players tried Arsenal type 1-2's or dinks over the top.Naisy, Jelavic, Whittaker and Davis are all good strikers of a ball, if the pass isnt easy and the shot is there we need to go for it more often! bluemc 308
Theres a few players in our team that should have shooting practice next week cause they never shoot from outside the box
OLE SUPER WILBERT 2,475
I get annoyed at this too.McCuloch is the only one who really tries his luck from long range and 99% of his shots are woeful!

RobertN 398
agree ask the question it may not go in but we may get a corner or a rebound ther keeper looked nevous at pass backs today but we never tested him muchdavis is capable as we seen against blackpool and who could forget mo edu's screamer last season
Jelavic9 5
I cannot remember the last goal that we scored from a decent range, we try to walk the ball into the net in the final third. Then in our own third all the defenders do is punt the ball up to the strikers.
SirWalterSmithLegend 206
Lack of bottle possibly? Most of them would have seen the abuse hurled at Charlie Adam for trying speculative shots at Ibrox and fans going mental when he missed target. Seriously though, its a thing taht also gets on my nerves too, maybe just not confident enough in their own ability. Scared to lose possession if they miss target, who knows? delamonty 992
An excellent point. It's not the fact that we might score.. it's the rebound, perhaps hand ball, corner kick etc. It's all about putting pressure on. So far Ally's team is still Walter's team. Zero change. Ben10 2,309
Edu has a brilliant shot on him. As has Davis, Whittaker at times. Even Naismtih can hit a speculative effort but long range shots don't seem to be part of our game at all at the moment. This long ball game from the back can't become a regular feature in our game, and it's slightly worrying that was our main attack weapon at home and at such an early part of our season. Clemdog 39,389
Davis especially, always looks for that pass. Naisy has a fantastic shot on him, utilise it !!
Broxi 12,206
McCulloch has had his fair share of long range shots, Edu's had a couple too but no one in the team tries it enough

RM Monitor And Standards Officer 112,910
Agree Davis and Naismith both did this today its passing the buck. Some of the one stuff touch was lovely to watch but we were then passing one extra time instead of getting the shot away, Jela and Naisy linked up superbly at times but its that extra fancy wee dink.A strike at goal and it can go anywhere. Its a gripe ive had with us for a while tbh
ChampionsAgain 1,373
The diagnol ball we kept playing is hopeless , ball on the deck and dont be afraid to shoot .

Turnberry18 3,204
This has been going on for years. Kevin Thomson has a great shot from outside the box and the number of times I would shout for him to have a go only to see a pass inside the area

StevenDavis 112
I noticed that today aswell, there was a few times when we should have just had a dig and try and trouble the keeper instead of passing it about and then eventually losing it.
