Irwin Sparkes 97
This whole 'its all a cunning plan to save on wages until he's fit, seriously, we have it all sorted' attitude is becoming irritatingSo why have we signed 2 centre halves since and made 3 or 4 bids for another? Because we want all 3 of them plus Cuellar? Aye right
mrmytto 220
Yeah totally agree mate...how much do u think he will be on when he arrives and is he fit to play straight away?I'd imagine he would be on about £25k or so should he sign for us, as for his fitness, I think he is due to be fit come the end of this month, or the start of next month, but I'm not sure on that one. Imodium 423
If he does sign do you think we will play him at right back?he done alright for Villa in that position and still able to use his ability in the air to defend and attack set pieces
californiadreamin52 339
He has played around 60 games in a single season for us before. I'm pretty sure he won't be another Prodan.Immaterial the player is injured now and has not kick a ball. Do you really think Prodan was injured his whole career he was in fact recovering from an injury when we bought him sound familiar

If we sign Cuellar and he passes a medical then I'd say he's proved he's fit.

caseyjones 3,009
What do Villa get out of this done and dusted 'verbal agreement' which sees them forking out 40k per week for an injured player?
critchie1986 2
mcleish was on ssn earlier sayin that they have no money to buy players unless they sell so hopefully the deal goes through soon
Jimfanciesthedude 25,609
Prodan didn't have a medical did he?he did but the rangers doctor at the time was told to miss things out and do it quicker because spurs had shown a good interest in prodan and rangers didn't wish to miss out on hima disaster from start to finish
WeeBlue 39
Probably all agreed pending medical (which he'll have at the end of the month to save us paying unnecessary wages).

This is why i think Cuellar may be papped to right back or Bartley to Defensive Mid!

nvager 498
I will be surprised if he signs for us. If he wanted to then it would be all signed and sealed already imo.
keithgersbear 3,225
I know we still have Davis and some others but with some of the new signings which might happen, it is like us basically building a new team. With this American in January coming? And this Aussie lad.
californiadreamin52 339
Prodan didn't have a medical did he?I believe Dr Hillis the then Rangers doctor past him fit, it cost the doc his job and us a he helleva lot of money

If we sign Cuellar and he passes a medical then I'd say he's proved he's fit.Cuellar is currently out with a recurring torn meniscus in his right knee which was operated on several months ago. He played right back many times with Osasuna and he is a better right back than Whitts but as i said Bartley may well be our new hardman in defence!
