markybear 136
We are still doing it. 2001 - 2011Here are the amounts we put in.2001 £ 1.01m2002 £ 5.18m2003 £ 6.79m2004 £ 7.25m2005 £ 7.24m2006 £ 9.19m2007 £ 4.99m2008 £ 2.29m2009 £ 2.36m2010 £ 1.36m2011 ??Surely not
markybear 136
So if it can't be proved beyond doubt by either party , surely they can't rule either way ?Would the result be no verdict ?Or not proven

TheLawMan 6,240
I hope this case will be heard somewhere obscure where no pre-prejudice could possibly be at work. Ie in Glasgow, it's sad to say but 3 Timmy judges could easily fuck us.R they tax/accountancy judges or just run of the mill judges?FTT judges can really be any legally qualified judges appointed by the Judicial Appointment Commission, however they do have specialist pockets. My understanding is that we are being heard in Edinburgh. There is no FTT in Glasgow

bombaybadboy08 15,660
I am confident but I don't think it's escaped anyone's notice that Craig Whyte keeps referring to administration,Either way I think Rangers F.C will be ok.Being a business man you wouldn't get involved with a club the size of Rangers if you were going to walk away and leave them in a mess, who's going to trust you enough to go into business with you or sell their wee egg to you if you've had such a high profile case of making an arse of yourself?I don't tell anyone how much I have in the bank so I don't expect our man to,that's just me though
TheLawMan 6,240
Surely not Absolutely. I think this is a tactic though. If we stopped paying them, it might be an admission of guilt so we have reduced the amount. To be fair though, i wont know until I see the 2011 accounts if we paid anything in last season but i presume we will have And re a further question as to how long it will last. The sessions are held in 2 week slots. Our first session was last Oct/Nov. 2nd session was in April. And our 3rd session kicks off again in november. If the judge has heard enough, he will rule in november. If he hasnt, it will be given a new date of April 2012 for week 7 and

He is the largest secured debtor and therefore will be paid 1st "if" admin happened to us, this IMO was no mistake, he'll get paid but no-one else will inc hmrc (as far as I'm aware) and then he can start to rebuild the club with the money that RFC owes him.I think that's how it's set up. Anyone confirm?

Marco Negri's Beard 1,423
There are 3(??) independent judges at the First Tier Tribunal who decide(this is where we are at just now. Moving into week 5 of evidence)If we lose and decide to appeal, then we need to demonstrate on what grounds we are appealing and they have to be considered reasonable before it gets passed to an Upper Tribunal which again is specialist judges. No jury. How do you know all about this?

keithgersbear 3,225
Just one question.Could we go into administration during this season? If we win the league, I would take it when the season is finished.
jcb 1,167
I didn't think the case was due till November? How many wks will it run for? It's not really been publicised that's it's actually going on as we spkThe FTT is not sitting at the moment. It began last year for a two week period then continued in March/April 2011,again for two weeks.I believe it reconvenes at the end of November. You'd get deducted 10points for the coming season if it happened close season. We'd start on minus

We could still possibly make up a 10 point lose over 38 games at the start. If we go into admin now, we will lose this title IMO.

Anyone confirm? Not quite but almost.Rangers owe Whyte £28mIf we go down that route then the first £28m raised from the sale goes to Whyte. If Whyte2 was to offer £28m to buy the entire club, then there would be a wooden dollar transaction and he would own the club lock stock but with no debt to HMRC.All other creditors would get nothing, including Bond holders, Season ticket holders etc. However if the administrator decides that he could get more for the creditors by piece selling all the assets, thats more dangerous. An administrators duty is to get the most for the creditors as possible

Blueshoff 11,814
Unfortunately, Tax advisors, lawyers and auditors get it wrong. It is HMRC's position that the advice Rangers got, or our interpretation of the advice was not correct. Maybe i'm over simplifying things but - if the advisors were correct then happy days. If they were wrong and gave incorrect advice then we can go after them (or more accurately in view of the amount their Professional Indemnity insurers).
