MayboleLoyal_atb 3,764
Out until the new year according to Ally. And Lafferty has back problems.
the brown brogue 1,922
Hemmings is yet another of our young players who seems to be constantly injured. Not sure he was the answer anyway, but with Lafferty struggling as well another striker in January is a must.
debear 603
Is Healy still injured as well?An abundance of striking options, I really hope out failure to bring in a striking target doesn't come back to haunt us badly.

broxibear87 129
Ffs! We should play Whittaker up front beside Jelavic then
Leeds_Bear 8,124
Hemmings is shite, I dont get the hype. I think he would struggle to break into the lower 6 of the spl nevermind Rangers.

GaryMc 2,394
Sir David of Weir used to be a striker.
Adoniram 1,919
Ffs! We should play Whittaker up front beside Jelavic then Not as daft as you think as it was "Take it on the chin" Mowbray who converted Whittaker from striker to right back. Not sure if it was here or elsewhere but i actually made a similar point in all seriousness that with his technique and close control it's clear to see his strengths lie in attack not defence. However we all know it isn't going to happen and we will continue with Jelavic up on his own isolated. As for Hemmings i'm sorry but i have yet to see what all the fuss is about. As you say it won't happen but I think he would excel in that role just off the striker.

Every opposition manager can see he is the weak link in our defence.

I like Whitty, but watching him defend can be a nerve-wracking experience (although he does seem to excel at timely interventions).
HashPizza 198
Could lead to big lee going upfront, which I suppose is probably not such a bad option.....
Creampuff 22,628
Whittaker as a striker
Papa Sasac 164
Aluko up front if need be?

GaryMc 2,394
John Fleck?I heard he was meant to be good. But he's left footed so he's better off playing left wing.
Adoniram 1,919
Whittaker as a striker A more forward/attacking role not necessarily as a striker.Would you not agree his strength is in attacking and not defending. If so i would say his talents are not being used properly. It may well be he moves forward to a right sided midfield role or left sided because he is so two footed. His height is also an attribute that goes unnoticed. If we are struggling for strikers it is an option no more no less. A bit fanciful i grant you but he caught the eye of some scout years ago at Hibs as a striker so must have done something right back then. Creampuff 22,628
Also, Hemmings getting injured doesn't mean much considering he wasn't playing anyway..
harlands plater 17,011
Ffs! We should play Whittaker up front beside Jelavic then Makes perfect sense to me - the further away from our goal he is, the better.
MayboleLoyal_atb 3,764
Also, Hemmings getting injured doesn't mean much considering he wasn't playing anyway..Was meaning it limits our already short strike force.
debear 603
Also, Hemmings getting injured doesn't mean much considering he wasn't playing anyway..It means we have no strikers to bring on if Lafferty and Healy are also injured.
