mark_ni 12
No but I wouldn't blame him if he did
Gazbo27 15
Up until this evening would have said no. But if he really has "failed to convince whyte" rather than whyte simply saying there is no money then I think the writing might be on the wall. A Manager shouldn't have to do much convincing the money is either there or not what input should whyte have on who it is! Anyway don't think he will walk but is he being pushed.. don logan 8,237
Why would he walk? Is he a quitter? The McCoist I remember as a player was a winner and had steely resolve.Time to pull himself together (if that's even necessary) and get on with the job in hand. Winning.The.League. Spectre 1,663
I think his status at Rangers will stop him from walking but I also think in that video of him leaving the meeting he looked raging and probably wanted to tell Whyte to get fucked. stampyurie 203
When I first looked at the title I thought it said "will Ally wank?" Could be the only thing to cheer him up after today
Turnberry18 3,204
No chance. Will it ever cross his mind?- I bet it does. But he will be here unless Whyte ever falters in his commitment. Ally will demand that Craig Whyte be as committed as he is.
markybear 136
If its true that whyte wouldn't release funds for a striker then I wouldn't blame him.Walter won the spl with one hand behind his back, ally will have to do it with both. Sorry to say but unless Laff steps up and mervan is a cheap wonder signing (henrik Larrson-esq ie cheap signing with a massive goal and assist return) then I sincerely see the title slipping. Fuck it, I'll say it, I reckon we've basically gifted ginger tooth with the league.
dazzamac7 0
Think he might to be honest - wouldn't blame him if he did......but, would be gutted all the same.
Imodium 423
He should but he won't. Club conceded the title today IMO
the brown brogue 1,961
I think he would have left that meeting with Whyte and been straight on the phone to his mentor for guidance. I suspect Ally might be doing a lot of soul-searching tonight.
GMac 1,405
Say he walks or is pushed in summer...Who would WANT to come right now?Well Craig Levein's used to putting out a team without a striker Don't think Ally will walk. If he can somehow win the league then we'll name the fuckin stadium after him. Thats why he'll stay.
The Beast 9,499
I wouldn't blame him if he did.Ally has got to carry the can for the two European failures - we should have got past both these teams - and for signing Ortiz, Bedoya and McKay who can't be good enough or they'd be making a proper challenge especially now when starting places are up for grabs. But no-one can blame him for Whyte turning out to be what I always suspected - a total shyster. Selling Jelavic today and not putting in a meaningful bid for any kind of replacement is unforgiveable. If the £1M bid for Holt was real then why not use a third of that and sign Sandaza? At least he's a proven SPL goalscorer and can't be a worse option than Healy. The real sucker punch for me today was not the Jelavic news but the fact that Hibs signed Claros who we couldn't afford to offer a deal to - fucking Hibs - it's shameful. delparlane 6,001
He won't walk away - Rangers is in his blood, as it is with all of us. Just because some at the very top level have been major cock-ups, that's still no excuse to abandon your club. Ever.
Redsox1 1,361
we could afford Claros but didn`t need him.
DiscoDavie 5
No - he'll be beeling but he wont go, he'll see it through to the end of the season at least, see the lie of the land and go if not to his liking (can't blame him).We must show our support for Ally and the team. The Beast 9,499
we could afford Claros but didn`t need him.We could afford him but not the Estonian right back (where we do need someone) ?
JM1872 3,819
No. Never will Ally shy away from the challenges his beloved Rangers throw at him.

GoramsGlove 12
Would you quit the dream job you have worked all of your life for after only 6 months? No.And he is not someone who walks away anyway, he will not give up.
RangersMedia 35,962
We could afford him but not the Estonian right back (where we do need someone) ?We can still sign free agents so that might still happen. There was no more signings today. That doesn't rule out free agents.
Bluebearjo 0
He wont walk. But how can ANY manager do well when they have these kind of funds to work with and a squad with next to no strikers? Walter had at least a bit to spend and managed decent loan signings. Its sad times. Unfair to judge ally as a manager under these conditions. Ps. Jelas gone, naisys out for season, laffertys out and the back up plan of boyds out the window. Whos playing up front if healys fucked? £5.5 million in n not even a loan signing... Shambles

trueblueal 2,117
Will he walk, or will he be pushed... But the rumours going around seem to be gathering pace What rumours?
Bluenose1986 703
Seems to me like Whyte is putting the squeeze on him so he'll quit. But he never walked when Souness benched him so I doubt he'll walk away from this.So my guess is he'll be pushed. He better start learning from his mistakes though, like edu over lee, football over hoofball, players in position over out of position.
