So in reality, by trusting people's 'honesty' the SFA take the cop-out option. If an organisation has a 'fit & proper person' ruling, whatever the fuck that means anyway, the it is surely up to that organisation to carry out whatever investigations it deems nessecary rather than naively relying on people to be honest about themselves, especially when that person is a walter mitty type character like Whyte.So, you either have such a rule and actively investigate people yourself or if you cant be bothered doing that, then don't have the rule. And if there is such a rule in place, I would argue that the SFA by failing to act on such a rule are as culpable and liable as Craig Whyte is.You couldn't make up the utter amateurishness of Scottish football.
