The point in history when our problems really did start

If truth be told , has to be the day david murray donned that Rangers tie for the first time. He needed Rangers for the prestige in the doors that it opened for him and also the ego he has.

Yes it was exciting but, surely a number of other bears must have thought , wait a minute the money doesn't add up plus he actually did not deliver on many things he said.

He is the man who went onto hiding a couple of times in his tenure of owner, and his most sickening trick has been in his handling of the sale of the club to whyte. Building a dynasty for his boys , my arse building a dynasty for himself out with the club.

Property developer..vineyard owner...... failed newspaper owner and on and on. And to top it all the chunt gets a knighthood. Murray is ruthless in his dealings in business to alleged that whyte duped him , mmmmmmmmmmmmmm not even on April 1st.

DAVID MURRAY STARTED THE ROAD AND LEAD US TO THIS SITUATION WE FIND OURSELVES IN.

2012 has certainly been a grim year.

Thank goodness spring is on its way - sun and warmth and hopefully ... the Club getting tentatively back onto it's feet.

Recuperation might take a bit of time, and we'll be a more humble group.

Yet time is a great healer, and over time our strength will return, and in due course we will strong again.

The question being - is becoming champions of Scotland again enough? Or should we aim for higher goals like world club champions?

To do that would realistically require us to join the English league, and build our way to the top over many years, and involve much hard work. It would also be a long term plan, and in this world of short termism and lack of patience, would we have the collective will to stay the distance?

If there was a crystal clear objective, I believe we would have the will, and the stubborn determination to see the job through to the end, even if it took 15 years plus to get there.

Rangers Football Club, champions of the world, now that's an objective that should whet all our appetites.

In God we trust.

Amen to this.

I remember Trevor McDonald on news at ten saying at the time Rangers were the richest club in Britain. Look what has happened in such a short period of time :disappointment:

Edit - sorry, I'm thinking when Muray took over.

Biggest club and business in Britain bar none through the 90's, living within our means too.
