bluechip 359
Where are they? Every week it's the same story, Rangers players being booted all over the pitch.Traditonally we had several hard men in every Rangers team. To quote just a few, Willie Woodburn, George Young, John Greig, Gregor Stevens, Tom Forsyth, Graham Roberts, Graeme Souness, Ian Ferguson, etc. etc. What the hell's happened to the current recruiting policy (approx. last three years). Rangers are as soft as you know what and it's embarassing. Don't get me wrong, results are King but this soft centre is getting ridiculous.Ally is quite right to dismiss the complaining about rough treatment. I have a great deal of time for Ally, I just wish he would get a couple of real hard men in the team.

Marco Negri's Beard 1,423
Well these 'hard men' tend to finish each game with 10 men, allowing us a distinct advantage. Can't say i'm that keen on 'hard men' in the side really
bluechip 359
Spell Rangers correctly for fuck sake. Can't believe I did that. Rangers fan for 56 years, mega embarassed. Fixed now, ta KJ.
scarkev 3,540
Those types of players although great rangers players would struggle in this era where players get booked for the slightest thing....Far more important to build a team that can play football over a team that can kick because as we move up it is more important. AlBear. 8,499
Frannie Stella knew karate. Why'o why did we let him leave?
marka1979 76
Terry hurlock comes to mind. The teams doing well and a lot of youth are breaking through so hopefully we can ride out the storm for the time being.
RFCstuart 317
This annoyed me yesterday as well. We really did need someone to get stuck in a bit, especially when they put a few bad 'challenges' in in a row! Gets me so frustrated watching from the side of the pitch, wish i could go on for five minutes! Then again, maybe that's why im at the side of the pitch! LegendofCoop 17,490
We don't need to have 'hard men'. We just need a couple of well timed over the ball tackles & karate kicks. The refs seem very obliging in this league.I was saying as much watching the game yesterday. Some of our players seemed to shite it in all honesty! Brilliant. My boss says he was a mascot for a Brentford game in the mid 80s, and even though he was a Brentford fan and Hurlock was one of his heroes, he was terrified of him

Muirheadbear 1,483
Why are we slagging Ally about his squad? FFS nearly 30 players left and we have a transfer embargo to boot.Give Ally a good dod of money and two/three transfer windows then analyse him.Good grief!! Buggleskelly 3,772
Gregor Stevens was an animal I seem to remember Paul Sturrock trying to take Gregor Stevens to court for assault after a Rangers / dundee utd game. I think Gregor volleyed him a few times them had him in a headlock. Sturrock had a broken jaw or something & tried to sue us.
