Have the old guard stabbed their way into the boardroom?

McCoist saved the club when he gave Green his backing far more than Green ever did. Without his say so ST's wouldn't have been bought in numbers.

Did he? How did he go about that exactly? by clapping the fans during a rendition if you 'hate Stewart Regan clap your hands?' this was after we were landed in the 3rd division, something green was desperate to avoid and that included having 5 titles wiped from the history books. again McCoist was the key figure who under no circumstances would agree to that.

This is another myth, how did he go about defending the fans? there's no evidence of this. If anything his comical statements after Berwick were more painfully out of touch as any previous regime.

We're Rangers, we have one of the biggest fan bases on the planet. Sponsorship was inevitable no matter where we played. and believe it or not our sponsors are still shared with that lot across the city who tried to bury us

Again, we're Rangers. We're an investable product especially after debts are wiped and our only route is upwards. Who's to say he might have underachieved.

Murray often piled on empty rhetoric of the promised land. it was of course all bullshit.

He's a snake oil salesman whose happy to meet his shaftees until the truth outs at which point he's retreated abroad with his share.

Again, snake oil salesmen know how to play the gallery.

W The article posted earlier states clearly that non exec directors are behind some of the strangest ideas weve heard to date like Bains return. That and the leaks from "very senior sources" ill advised comments to the press seem to indicate the involvement of both, and regardless of past achievement's they must both be judged on taking the club forward, Bain and Murray cash lite are not such steps.

a rumours !! lets react to rumours and blame the board! what do you want - every one on the board reacting as one - like in the Murray era? like in the Whyte time? is that how you see us - or do you want people who think for themselves? and act in a collective interest for the club?

Interest of the club or old pals isnt the same in my book. If you have something to say as a director come out and say it, dont feed cryptic stories to the enemies in the press, or for that matter cliques within the support. It can make it look like you have an agenda you want kept secret.

Do you mean the same Walter who would not say a bad word against Murray. :matron:

.

The same one who has delivered all those titles and cups , who despite everything can still think for himself - that's the man you want to blame and have dragged of the board!

By much of this logic we can never give any CEO type figure credit.

The same man who last week was singing the praise of Celtic and Lemmon last week in the papers.

One theory I came up with is that the MM/WS/IA cabal within the boardroom have struck a deal with the SFA/SPL for Rangers to be fast-tracked at least into a SPL2. The price of this was removal of CG.

As I said, it's a theory only but I wouldn't say it's too far fetched.

Well Dingwalls storm troopers are in the trenches aiming to get their man that blazer by toeing the Murray Cash Lite line.

These self anointed welks are really starting to get a bit beyond themselves even by their own inflated ego standards

No wonder the tims run rings round us when you have So - called rangers supporters coming out with guff like this. Embarrassing , sad and pathetic.

The point is.. Green has done a lot of good for this club. Bringing Walter back was sensible (no one else alive on the planet today knows more than how to make The Rangers win than him). Aye a few quotes gone astray and very unRangers-like... but he is who he is.

I hope he changes his mind and returns after the investigation is done. (tu)
