Everton v Chelsea 1985 at Goodison

Went down on the Nithsdale

Kerry Dixon put Chelsea in front and Gary Lineker equalised in the last minute

Chelsea fans were brilliant with us all day( think a few buses travelled that day) and managed to get banned for life from Carslile for life on the way back

what a day and one I'll never forget

Went to all kinds of enjoyable games and silly games in the 70s

Was a football junkie and would take in about 30 odd extra games a season as well as Rangers games in the 70s.

Partick Thistle 8 Motherwell 3 1971

Airdrie 0 Derby 0 Texaco cup Final 1972

Liverpool/ Man United and Manchester derbies in late 70s.

Saw Dalglish score at Anfield, Lineker at Goodison.

Biggest was Bayern St Etienne European Cup Final 1976

Enjoyed them all.

Real Madrid v Eintracht Frankfurt, Hampden 1960. Clinical demolition of a team that had taken 12 goals off Rangers over 2 games in the semi. Although initially gutted that the Gers were not there, on refelection, dread to think what they would have done to us.

This guy.

Just casually strolls in and says "I was at the greatest club football match ever played".

Two games spring to mind for me.

Clyde 2-4 Dundee ht 2-0

Ravanelli came off the bench to score a hattrick after wee Nacho made it 2-1.

Cracking game at Broadwood league cup.

Also Hivs 2-2 Sunderland.

I was up the Sunderland end where their fans where signing TBB behind the goal.Union flags the lot.

Sunderland where leading 2-0

And it ended 2-2

Fans where scrapping with the Hivs mob. Nuts but best friendly I'v ever seen.

Aston villa v man Utd in the FA cup 2001

Amazing, utterly amazing

Villa were 2-0 up with around 10 mins to go and van nistelrooy scored 3 goals in the space of 5 minutes to win it

I along with around 500 other united fans invaded the pitch to celebrate

It was just incredible to witness something like that for a team I never really supported.

My mate was a united season ticket holder and had 2 tickets but his brother couldn't make it so I went instead.

What a day it was

How'd you manage to get banned from Carlisle?

Stopped off for a beer and ran into Carlsiles casual mob ... one mouthy cunt threw a pint poy and shouting about sweaty socks, needless to say the boys returned withgusto the cops arrived and escorted us out. Turned out one of the cops was from aberdeen so you can imagine the abuse he took( all in good fun of course)

As a youngster watching a 17 year old tear Scotland to shreads and coming home to brag to my brothers that i have just watched the best player ever to play football. The one and only Diego Armando Maradona, brilliance at its very best.Quite simply the best player ever to grace a football park, and just glad to be able to see him in the flesh....
