The non believers are told to wait and see, yet this story first breaks on Facebook instead of the family in question phoning the club and dealing with it privately

If the original post is accurate then they've had correspondence with the club. Still no reason to fly in about the OP all gums blazing. (no typo)

Genuinely disgusted at this, sadly it's just one of many examples of the falling standards at our club. I can't see anything improving while people like the Easdales have their snouts in the trough either.

The most ridiculous part of them upsetting this elderly gentleman is that they hardly need the space in the stadium, it'll be half empty next season at this rate anyway.

Might have been during the North African campaign.

he may also have served in the combined operations (commandos) and taken part in the many raids accross german occupied europe??? Think people should lay off the OP until they know the facts. Some people on this forum need to grow up.

Aye right enough, and as his first games were before the war, he must have been truly dedicated, travelling from Germany to Ibrox, admittedly he would have had both legs at the time so not that impressive a feat (no pun intended) actually.

All it says is his first games were from before WWII, and that his continual support was since the END of the war.

So it is entirely feasible that this man could have gone to games before the war, gone to war, come back and not miss a game since

What an absolutely disgraceful thing to say.

So just to be clear Marathon Man, you think that it's absolutely disgraceful that I have said that a person, who may or may not exist, and who may or may not have lived in Germany prior to WWII, who travelled to Ibrox to watch football must have been truly dedicated but that this would have been even more remarkable if he had lost a leg. ?

Not if he is 87 and lost the leg in Germany during WWII, as the OP states. He did not state that he lost his leg in Occupied North Africa or that he lost it on Commando Raids in Germany (which ones exactly were you thinking about?). And, if you read the thread, my comment was in reply to the proposition that the person (real or imagined) was domiciled in Germany pre war.

Still, if it helps you to get offended.

When you're in a hole you should stop digging.

'May or may not exist'.

You are embarrassing yourself.
