Recommended Posts

Gallagher,Telfer,Sinnamon and Murdoch are in the squad for tomorrow..

Doubt it, Ally said he would introduce youth over the last games of the season, that was beginning of March, so far we have seen 1 of them have a few games and 2 have 20 minute run outs.

Destiny In Our Own Hands

GORDON DURIE insists keeping their destiny in their own hands was the main thing for Rangers tonight as they kept their SPFL Under-20 League title bid on track.

The Light Blues won 4-0 at Falkirk to move five points clear of fellow challengers Celtic having played once more ahead of their closed-doors meeting on Tuesday at Lennoxtown.

If Gers avoid defeat there in that, their final game of the 30-match competition, they’ll become champions.

But that’s only the case after they secured the victory they needed at Westfield to open the biggest gap possible between them and their city rivals.

Robbie Crawford opened the scoring after 13 minutes and Danny Stoney doubled the advantage against the Bairns.

Charlie Telfer then hit a brace to add gloss on a good night for the Murray Park team as it recorded a sixth successive win in all competitions.

Durie said: “Going in 3-0 up at half-time was a wee bit harsh on Falkirk because I didn’t think we played as well as we have been.

“The score flattered us a wee bit because they had a couple of dangerous free kicks they should probably have scored from.

“That would have made it a different game but we went on to win well, even though we took our foot off the gas a wee bit in the second half.

“We scored some good goals and could maybe have got a few more but we’d have taken a 1-0 win before the game and we’re delighted with the result.

“The three points were the biggest thing for us here. Things are in our own hands and that’s so important because it’s all about results at this stage of the season.

“The effort the boys have been putting in has been tremendous because they’ve been playing on Tuesdays and Fridays for a couple of weeks now.

“Now the players have a huge opportunity and it’s one we’re all looking forward to. If you’d said at the start of the season we’d be in this position we’d have grabbed it.

“We’ll have three or four days to rest and get ready for the Celtic game and we’ll give it our best shot.”

The final game is on Tuesday, so a wee confidence boosting run for some of these guys is on the cards, want to keep them fresh though.

Who got a 20 minute run out other than Telfer?
