Everyone that has had an extended run up top since we were put in the third division, up untill now, were very static and offered us little to no movement or space created. Now we have forwards who thrive on creating space, dragging defenders and most importantly scoring goals.

I think it is a combination of a few things.

We are now playing against full time teams and we are beginning to up our level accordingly. It is like playing a computer game on easy for years, and then changing the settings up to expert. Takes time to adjust, even if you have the skill to do it.

I also think that bringing in Miller and Boyd who are actually quite clever guys has helped add a bit more awareness to the team both directly and through coaching the other players.

Overall it is a great day to be a Rangers fan!

Agreed. Hopefully the likes of Black, Shiels, Templeton, Law etc embrace the step up and start producing consistently.

Macleod for me, showed some real class at times, really hope we keep the boy, future Rangers & Scotland captain IMO

I'm with you mate, I thought he strolled around there at times like he owned the place. Not nearly often enough but nice to see.

For older bears, Lewis is like a combination of a young durrant and DF. He will go on to greater things and hopefully with rangers!

i remember them both hovering around the first team in 1985 (pre Souness) playing in a crap team in a crap league (well crap for us) and then boom, overnight, everything changed and they were the 2 most arrogant, strutting peacocks you ever saw with Souness stroking their every move. I saw a little bit of that in MacLeod tonight, just a little bit, but hey - wee smile on my face!

He is an all round midfielder you rarely see nowadays. He is strong and committed in the defensive aspect while also skillful and creative in attack. A joy to watch.
