Gaz52 11,837
Rock bottom of the Bundesliga but in the Last 16 of the Champions LeagueSome real quality players and a very good coach...What is going on with them?
Goianegra 4,702
I like Dortmund, but it is quite funny.
TheKingObv 10,657
Aye it's hilarious. Shows the strength of the German league though.
Frank Reynolds 3,359
It's mental how they can go from finishing second last season, to very likely being relegated this seasonI do like Dortmund, but fuck me, how can one team fuck up so much? Goianegra 4,702
How do you go from a Champions League final to this in 18 months?
orange&blue92 1,284
After losing Robert Lewandowski, they have only scored about 18 goals in the league(joint lowest). They should have bought a decent striker in the jan window
orange&blue92 1,284
How do you go from a Champions League final to this in 18 months? Sell your top goalscorer and don't replace him lol
Frank Reynolds 3,359
Sell your top goalscorer and don't replace him lolThat is one of their problems, but it's just one of many, and now lack of confidence is starting to take hold
the goal machine 7,813
They're also really missing Lewandowski. I don't think creating chances is an issue, they just need someone to put them away. Plus they've had injuries and their defence is dodgy. Gaz52 11,837
Ciro Immobile is 24 and hasn't shown anything to suggest he'll be an apt replacement for Lewandowski, they have confidence problems that need sorted or they're a stick on to go down. Henders82 544
Off there for the game next Friday - didn't think it would be a relegation battle
King Jela 20,662
It's ridiculous the situation they're in and it will probably get worse for them since they won't get in the champions league next season and possibly relegated.
Frank Reynolds 3,359
Looks like two seasons (at least) without European football
aird 3,848
They don't replace losing quality players with another quality player.Instead of replacing someone like Lewandowski with a proven scorer, should've went from Mandzukic imo, they replaced him with hardworking, mediocre players. They'll stay up. Immobile needs to get some goals for confidence and they need the injuries to calm down. Grosskrutez is now injured for 6 weeks after coming in for an injured Piszczek. bluemc 305
Watched the game lastnight couldve still be playing the night and no scored, terrible in front of goal
TEFTONG 60,467
Its certainly a very strange situation that they find themselves in at present, but with a wee bit of better luck and the injuries clearing up they should have enough quality to string a wee 4/5 game winning streak together and get themselves away from the relegation places. Just goes to show that even a well run club with a decent coach and a loyal fan base, Football is a funny old game, Funny old game the Football. I don't think for a minute any Dortmund fan would trade places with US though!? Would they!?
Gaz52 11,837
It reminds me of Rangers in the fact that a trip to Ibrox used to be a daunting prospect for teams but now they thrive on it.Augsburg are a decent team right enough but you fully expect 1-2 years ago Dortmund would have beat them by 3+
The Godfather 72,650
Dortmund are a disgrace.Losing 2-3 first team players means they will struggle to fight for the title aye but to be bottom of the table despite having a good number of CL finalists in their team is horrible.Klopp reputation has been hammered now, he should have left at the end of last season.
