Gascoigne's agent, Dylan Jones, said: "Paul is still recovering from the operation he undertook recently. "He was told at that time that he could not consider anything as energetic as playing football again for at least two months and he is recuperating at the moment. "It is very unfortunate because Paul loved his time at Rangers and he was very keen to see all his old friends and former team-mates, as well as being among the fans once again.
