We need guys who hv bn there before and no what if takes to succeed time fore KING and Co to spend the cash the reported 5 million mentioned isn't going to be enough more near 10 million will be needed imo otherwise we may well stuff le again next season,yes we may hv beaten cellist, Killie, and Dundee this season but we will struggle to do that all season if the quality is not improvedplayer wise Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Turnberry18 3,204 Posted May 22, 2016 Share Posted May 22, 2016 A few years ago we had a midfield of Mendes, Davis, Edu, and Thompson at its spine; along with players like McCulloch etc. If we don't get something like that, allowing for cost, then we can forget next season. People have a go at the defence, but our defence is sometimes the first line of our defending, when it should be the last line. That midfield won the league; do you remember that? In the context of having a team that wins the league then we will need a midfield winning team; that is my point. Arguments about how good they were are neither here nor there, it was a midfield that won the league, and it was the strongest midfield at the time.
