I think only recently he had another major setback, but before that their fans were saying he was outstanding and if he kept fit would be going for megabucks.

He did mate I watched the game. He came on against qpr and was stretchered off again about ten minutes later. Shame for him, it seems these injuries could prevent him having a top career.

Just saw on sky he has signed a contract extension to 2019 with Brentford. Given the limited game time down there since he went I'm a little surprised. He must be well thought of by them even though he's always injured.

Thought he would have been at Barca by now....

You have to say maybe we done the right thing at the time by selling him. As much as we all loved him and knew what a player he was, the injuries were just far too frequent.

Robben was injured all the time when he was younger and look at him now. RVP as well. So you never know, as long as you have a positive attitude and want to get back then your luck may change. Good luck Lewis.

Without his injuries he'd be a mainstay in the national team by now and would have moved to an Prem side too imo.

Nah.

He was a promising player in the second tier and below but he was never ever in a million years good enough for the premiership down south or looking like he would be.

Holt looked like a superstar in a level above where Lewis was playing too for some reference.
